I've been UI modding for a little while now and keep thinking of things i'd like to do, especially since I discovered KGPanels (Awesome addon!).
One of these ideas has me stumped and I'm going out on a long shot as it likely can't be done. I figured I 'd ask the experts to see if there is a way to do this. Basically, I would like to have a KGPanel autoresize based on how many bars my Skada is displaying, so that, regardless if there are 5 DPS displayed or 10, the panel always fits to size and I don't have to have the maximum space showing all the time (with most of it empty panel).
Hello. I've been trying to search everywhere on the internet in the hope that someone could help me with a possibly easy script. I'm rather new in kg panels but i can comprehend commands quite easily.
What im looking for is how can i enable to show a pannel when im in raid and ofcourse hide it when out of it.
I have to say i have digged out this:
Adjusting Panels based on Raid or 5 Main party
local pmems = GetNumPartyMembers()
local rmems = GetNumRaidMembers()
if (pmems < 1 and rmems < 1) or (pmems > 0 and pmems < 6 and rmems < 6) then
But it doesnt seem to work. If its related to Parenting how exactly i do that, and if its of any relevance the raid frames im using are X-perl ones.
Much appreciate if anyone could help and sorry if this has been posted previously.
No, in 3.3.5 Blizz reworked the chat system for realid. there used to beonly 1 edit box, now there is an editbox for each chat frame. and in 3.3.5 ChatFrame1EditBox is only the edit box for chatframe1, chatframe2 uses a different editbox, etc.. I take it you want a texture background for your editbox? you can juse use /framestack and mouse over the box to help you find the correct name.. guessing you spelled it wrong.
I've used kgpanels to place a HUD graphic at the bottom of the screen replacing the default Blizz HUD.
For the first time since doing this, I've just entered a vehicle and the vehicle HUD doesn't appear. Is this because my HUD is overlaying it? Or has something I've done stopped it appearing altogether?
What I'd like to do is have a script that replaces my HUD with the vehicle HUD on entry, and replaces the vehicle HUD with my HUD on exit. In fact, as I've replaced all of the Blizz stuff (ie chat frame is now Chatter, actionbars are now Bartender, Chinchilla minimap and Carbonite) are all at the bottom of the screen sitting on top of my HUD graphic, and I'd like to hide/show the whole shooting match on vehicle entry/exit.
Or...failing that, how would I make everything sit further back in the strata? (I think that's the correct term) so that the vehicle HUD overlays all my stuff.
I've not done any scripting before, how difficult would this be to achieve? Or could somebody post a script for me to try?

Anytime I try to add a texture to a frame on KG, the entire drop down menu appears blank as well. I really enjoyed the customization the KG offers and would really appreciate some insight into what could cause this. At first I thought it was v1.5.1 but after going back to v1.5 the issue continued. I even reinstalled all of my addons and it still continued. On the KGpanels Download page I posted to full and complete message including list of all my active addons.
Thank you in advanced for any help you may be able to offer anyone :)
I've been adding a few textures and borders and its working mostly fine. One problem that i'm encountering is that where my panels are supposed to have crisp black edges, I'm instead getting a thin grey/white line. I'm sure i must be making a mistake when photoshopping the image or saving the .TGA, but i have no idea what that might be.
Perhaps someone here could shed some light onto this for me?
Attached is a screenshot of the result. The idea is that the border is 1pixel light grey/white on the inside and then 3 pixels of black on the outside, but what i get is
i created a texture for the targetframe. To make it work like the original frame i added code to the OnEnter, OnLeave and OnClick events. So far so good.
My problem is, that these events are fired on the whole area of the panel an not just on the none-transparent area.
Is it possible to let the events get fired only on the visible parts of the texture ?
