I scrapped my UI a few days ago and have started over with a new kgPanels layout. Upon creating a new panel, I noticed a bug with the bg and border. By default, kgPanels is set to have an inset of 4,-4,-4,4. However, it then looks like this: http://s.wowinterface.com/preview/pvw37134.jpg (That's not my UI, I just noticed that they were having the same issue/effect.) Changing the insets to 0,0,0,0 does indeed move the border closer to the edge of the background texture, but it still kinda looks like that screenshot. In order to get the border and texture to line up, I had to change the insets to -4,4,4,-4.
I am using 1.36, and noticed that there was mention in the changelog of a change/fix to the insets. The layout that I was using at the time took to the change flawlessly. But creating a new layout and new panels is when I noticed the error.
I'm trying to parent kgpanels to some frames that don't load until I enter a raid/combat, which seems to bug out the panels after a login/restart. Is there any way to simply hide them until the frame that they are parented to is created?
I'm really sorry to post here but I can't find anything about it from reading this thread (there's a lot of information in here).
They work fine for things like my unitframes, but when I try to use kgpanels with DXE which doesn't load until I zone into a raid, or with specific power auras (which is really more of a cheap workaround in my case, I'm parenting to power auras to show a background behind an unrelated frame that doesn't have a name) the frames show up as a black space on my screen and stay until I open/close the parent.
I'm curious, but has anyone written any scripting for toggling a panel based on an instance you've zoned in to? Basically I want to hide a frame if I enter a raid zone, but not if I'm in a BG. I've tried scouring the net a bit and not really had any luck, so was wondering if anyone had done something like this or not.
I'm trying to make a button that when right clicked simulates either right clicking an LDB or minimap icon (in this case, Skada's) or clicking the Skada menu cog button. Can anyone think of a way to do this?
For a new UI project, I'm looking for a way to use kgpanels scripts to show/hide zmobdb's player portrait by clicking on a panel. Is that possible ?
Also, I'm also looking for a simple addon that shows only the player portrait, nothing more nothing less (to replace zmobdb that is outdated and has way too many features).
I've been lurking around the net, trying to find out how to do it, without any success (and I honestly suck at coding, although I do understand a little).
If anyone has the answer, it'll help a LOT and I'll be grateful forever :D! Thanks in advance!
