I'm having problems with kgpanels not saving after i log out, i've had no replies on the wow forums so i thought i would try here. There is a lot of unnecessary writing sorry... Copy+Paste FTW?
------------------------------------
Well i wanted 2 make my interface more original (by stealing images from tankspot for the art :P) and use kgpanels instead of just ticking the artwork box sunn viewport. The problem is after spending ages setting it up after i logged out and back in (logging out and in properly) all my work was pretty much gone.
When i logged out it did that thing where it doesn't count down from 20 and logs out instantly. I can't remember if this happened the other times but this happened to me about 3times a month or so ago (KgPanels not saving). I don't think it would make a difference but i thought i would mention it. Also KgPanels has been updated since the other time i had this problem and i used different images.
EDIT: The panel you see at the bottom behind my spells is not listed as a panel in my layout but when i switch to another layout it disappears... So yeah something is definitely going wrong, originally i thought it was maybe me not ticking some box to save but it seems that's not so.
Ps: If anyone is interested about my ui and what addons i'm using i'd be happy to answer... although it's not fully done -there are a few addons i need/thinkin of adding such as IceHud, power auras etc.
where did you stick the artwork, usually if you set it up the first time, then on a second pass the images are gona (its replaced with black) it means the images werent loaded. I.e. you used images that were added in via LibSharedMedia and you have disabled that addon so the art wasnt added to the path.

Hm can't just not allowe the slider to go into negative level if it errors that way? :O
@Kagaro If you mean where the images are saved on my computer, it's C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\Textures\dragon
I wasn't having a problem with logging out and logging back in and all my art was gone from my panels... The problem was i logged out and back in and all the panels were gone, except one random one down the bottom which had no art in it and wasn't listed as a panel (i couldn't edit it or even try to) although it disappeared when i deleted the layout.
I have added two test panels and they haven't disappeared when i log out yet so i'll try to make my layout again. If i have problems again i'll post again.
I am trying to turn on and off (hiding) some action bars with dominos, however all combinations that i have tried so far have failed.
Does anyone know the frame names for Dominos or how to toggle them?
PS I have tried :
Dominos:ToggleFrame(numberofframe)
Example- Would toggle the main menu bar.
Dominos:ToggleFrame(10)
that was posted in 2008 but that does not work

Sorry about confusion but had forgotten my user info for my account and logged into an account from long ago.
UPDATE:
the action bars are able to toggled by:
Dominos:ToggleFrames(1)
however, I can still not figure out how to toggle pet, vehicle, xp, menu, bag bars - would appreciate anyone's help with this
but everytime I finish setting up the panels and log out and then log back in all the changes are lost or there is just half of them and an extra "default" box.
Do have any idea why is this happening?
Thanks
I'm trying to show a panel when my focus target casts a spell and then hide it when the spell ends or is interrupted. I have the following in the scripts for the panel Im trying to get to do this but it doesnt do anything at all. I was originally just trying to get it to show for any cast (which I havent been able to do yet anyways), but in addition to my original question is it possible to just get it to show on a spell cast by my focus target?
Im a Complete newb at scripting can anyone help me out with this? Id appreciate it immensely.

could it be that in the background inset options top/bottom and left/right are mixed up so that I have to change "bottom" when I mean "right"? I just experienced that but maybe i'm just confused.
I'm a pretty noob user of kgPanels, and I've been looking everywhere to try and figure out how to do something. Finally decided to just ask here.
I use elkano's Buff Bars, and I wanted to try and set up something a little similar to blizzards consolidate buffs by making a Group (Group 3 for example) that has things like Raid buffs in it. Then I was trying to make Group 3 hide unless I mouseover a panel. Unfortunately, I can't for the life of me find the frame name for Group 3... it doesn't come up in the Frame checker (there are two things that say Unknown when I check, I am guessing that's maybe them?).

Fixed in Alpha, ill need to update changelong so people who update know that the bg insets are gona shift if they update.
I use Grid for both my party and my raid frames. I am also in the process of customizing my UI so that it's more Healer friendly, but doesn't leave my tank and dps toons facing a wall of hp bars.
I have a kgpanel for Grid that resizes depending on how many people are in the raid, but what I *really* need is for the panel to resize depending on how many âgroupsâ there are that have a body in them. For example a 25 man raid currently looks like this: (each row is a raid group)
Now if 6 people leave what happens is this:
The frame resized to the 15-20 man size I had defined, but in reality there are still 5 *groups* even if they arenât full groups. Is there a way to base a kgpanel size on the number of Grid raid groups that have a body in them rather than on the total number of bodies in the raid?
keeps erroring over and over. I guess I should just have /rl'd and it would have never come up but maybe you can do something so it doesn't happen again.
steps to reproduce: Rename layout "X" (currently activated) to "X_", import new layout (via copy/paste) as "X", delete "X_"
I am looking for some help in creating a script. honestly I have no idea where to begin btu want to learn at lease some basic's for this.
What I am looking to do is put a panel in that displays my ranged attack power and updates when items proc or it changes in any way. Is this possible? If so how would the script work?
Any direction to a wiki or a posting of a similar display's script would eb a huge help!
