\o/ Do not underestimate the powah of a newb! xD
Ok so I done it! My panels pop out when i enter shadowform/combat! Disappear when i leave'em.
No messin' in LUA whatsoeva, xD to show a panal in combat only I just used a macro condition [combat] <.< damn easy ain't it... for shadowform [stance:1] :P
The thing is though I did it via bongos3 they have an option there, which allow you to use macro states and conditions.
You just need to parent it to a button that appears in combat only and done!
Hope this helps some other fans of UI tweankin ;)who have less than zero skill in LUA programin' like i do ^^
Right once again, Me. As someone said i dont know how to make any panels, u said about some layouts/screenshots here, i havent find anything. Also searched on google's for instructions - nothing. FAQ dont tell anything. How the hell i make panels in this?
How does one assign individual panels to party unit frames, with PitBull's dynamic frame naming?
If I am just in a party, then the party unit frames are named PitBullUnitCluster1UnitButton1-4, if I am in a raid, then those names are assigned to raid member 1-4 unit frames. If I show party frames in raid, they PitBulUnitCluster2UnitButton1-4. If I reload, the names (clusters) switch.
I would like to keep party unit frames assigned to the party member unit frame individually, and not be assigned to the raid frames, regardless of whether I show party frames in raid or not.
I tried using PitBullUnitCluster2UnitButton1:IsVisible() but that just kicked out errors on my events.
Astika: you cant Once a frame has been created you can ever changes its name. Pitbull recycles frames as you add/remove players from party and raid. ckknight needs to add an api to PitBull for other mods to get the current frame for a given name.
msheyw: I fixed your problem, just update
To ALL: There has been a minor change to parenting behavior. Now when a frame parent is found and it is shown, all the children of your kgPanelFrame will have Show called. This should fix issues people are having with children not showing up all the time. If this causes any new issues please let me know.
I figured as much, unfortunately. I suppose me posting was just wishful thinking. I'll tool around and maybe I can hack something together. Perhaps I can Hide() / Show() party panels based on the raid panel I have that resizes based on raid size.
Regardless, thank you for the timely response. I'll post if I can figure anything out.
I'm having a hard time to get Kgpanels & Bongo's working together.
I know bongos has no name, so I can't anchor to that.
from Trullers wiki page:
Bongos bars are all nameless. To retrieve a bar use:
local bar = Bongos3.Bar:Get(<id>)
Where <id> is the name of the bar you see when in configuration mode, like 1, bags, or menu.
To perform an operation on a bar use:
Bongos3.Bar:ForBar(<barList>, 'Method', arg1, arg2, ...)
The parameter <barList> can be either a single bar id, ex 'menu'; a space separated list of bar ids, ex 'bags pet 1'; a range of bars, ex '1-10'; 'all'; or any combination, ex '1-10 menu bags pet all'
Right now I have
I have a box around bar 3+4 (Box 1&2 have show states [combat][harm][modifier:ctrl])
I'd love to see my box from 3&4 growup to inclued 4-1 or have seconde box pop up for 1&2
