So is there a way to combine the Totems into the overall damage? Having the Magma Totem siting at #5 instead of combined with the Shamans damage doesn't help the overall standing.
As far as I understand this all mods which combine them "guess" the damage as the combatlog is inconsclusive as to which Magma Totem is which 's shaman damage?
There is no guessing involved. The SPELL_SUMMON event contains the owner information and hence allows to link the totem's GUID to the owner without ambiguity if observed.
Sorry if this question was covered before, but⦠Skada window keeps showing up after the end of every combat. Is there a way to prevent it from such behaviour?
To make things more clear: threat module is turned off from loading, the in-combat setting is set to ânoneâ, and i tried both ticking and unticking ârevert after combat optionâ, hiding in combat is turned on.
My problem is this. I have just switched to Skada from recount. Great addon by the way. I find that when I look at the DPS section it seems to combine a players pets damage in with his own, however when I look at the DAMAGE section it seperates them out. For instance I ran an instance to test this addon and it showed the DK's damage seperate from his Runeweapon and his bloodworms. Is there a way to combine this in that view?
Hey guys, I have been loving Skada lately. But... the last two times that I've gotten DC'd Skada has reset back to the default settings. I go through the process of getting three windows all setup and laid out just right (Damage, Healing, Threat) and then log out and exit WoW to save the settings... then I'll be raiding and for whatever reason I'll get a DC (lately I think it's DXE causing it) and when I come back on again Skada will have reset.
Any idea how to get around this? It's literally happening every time WoW crashes. Also, and this was weird, even after I reset Skada it was still showing me some previous fight's data -- like a week ago's data. So I uninstalled, deleted saved variables, etc... then set it up how I wanted it, logged out, exited, and still when WoW crashes it resets it back to default.
This has happened a couple times to me, although not lately. I just backup the saved variables file after getting all the settings the way I like them, then restore the file if it happens to reset.
I'm probably doing something stupid, but as far as I can tell if a person dies multiple times in a single fight, there is no way to see anything but the last death report recorded by skada. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
I figure I have to be doing something wrong, but I use Skada with two windows, one the default called Skada, and the 2nd one I named Threat. I'm attempting to replace Omen completely, and it works fine, except when I'm on my pally tank. I have "Do not warn while tanking" checked, but it doesn't matter.. I get the Fel Nova sound I set over and over every time the other tank is tanking and I am riding his threat (like on Saurfang when we switch off.. especially obnoxious on that fight). There is no way to drop my threat instantly other than salving myself and not attacking whatsoever, and this is incredibly annoying on my paladin. Is there any thing short of disabling all sounds on my pally (which I'd have to undo when I'm not in tank spec) that I can do to fix the problem? I may be missing something simple, but i really need this to work in order to replace Omen.. I'd hate to go back to using Omen with Skada when Skada works perfectly otherwise.

Are you on Blizzard's main-tank list? SkadaThreat uses that to determine if "you are tanking".
In case you are not using that, another way to solve it is by using different profiles, one for your tanking needs, and one for your DPS needs.
You could use the same approach as Omen to detect tanks: check for Frost Presence on a DK, (Dire) Bear Form on a druid, Righteous Fury on a paladin, or Defensive Stance on a warrior. My guild doesn't set Blizzard tanks, nor has any PUG raid I've ever been in.

Yeah, that would be the problem. I never set Main Tank, but I guess I could do that. I liked that Omen did not require that setting though. Thank you Zarnivoop and Phanx for clarifying what the problem is. I was really stumped as people I'd asked who used Skada were not having the same problem.

If I try to report when Skada is reseted it return lua error.
The main window's title bar likes to randomly disappear from time to time. Right clicking on it usually makes it reappear.
Since I use one of the windows for threat only, it would be nice if there was a click-through feature or a mode-switch lock feature.
I would assume the main issue is that they're both just called Frostfire Bolt by the combat log?
Click the + sign next to Skada in your Interface Options screen, then select Profiles.
