In the latest alphas I have changed how Skada determines if a combat log event is interesting or not. It should result in a performance increase. A brief test the other day shows it to be correct as well. But please let me know if there are any unexpected discrepancies.
aoe performance is MUCH better now (i just happen to be at freya25 again).

the deaths reports need some work. the most recent items should be listed first, e.g. so reports don't show item #1-10 when the death is actually #20. also pets and guardians shouldn't be shown, they aren't relevant.
The death report details are gone again. I just get a list of deaths (including totems and mirror images and the ever persistent 2x deaths for priests with spirit of redemption), but clicking the names gives a blank window.
I never had any details how do you get them to work?
They work sometimes, a few revisions back they worked, an few before that they didn't, and now they don't work again so i have no idea "how to get them to work" i just update and pray they aren't broken.
Whenever I have tried Skada I've always wondered why in the damage window have to show all those figures, the damage part I get but why also dps and the percent ?
It's ok if people want this but is it possible to at least be able to get the "%" part out if we want it so the window doesn't have to so wide to see all the info ?

You can disable the "DPS" part of the damage window, but not the "Percent" part of it.
I also would like to see a switch to disable the percentage on the bars. Raw damage numbers and bars is enough for me.
(Same goes for Healing, I gues)

I've uploaded a small frapsed video here so that it's easier to understand and quicker to explain than by screenshots: all I've done before recording that footage was hitting the training dummy for few minutes; after that I went to check the list of my skills and noticed that a lot of abilities such as heart strike (which in this case should be the second hardest hitting ability), bloodworms, the risen ghoul "attack" damage, the death strike damage coming from the rune weapon.
You can notice how my death strike damage is reported but not the one coming from the rune weapon while it's the exact reverse scenario for heart strike, the rune weapon one is displayed and mine isn't.
As it's possible to see in the video, if I click the skills to have a deeper breakdown of the hits/crits/misses, most of the times the title bar's name will not match the skill bar I actually selected (clicking my attack damage will actually show the details for my bloodworm's damage, my death strike damage will break down in my rune weapon's death strike damage and so on); the Max bars was set to ~25.

Im still having massive issues with the death log when im on my priest. The log dosen't work for priests that have Spirit of redemption, not at all.
This is cos it only display the latest death, and that is the *death" of the SoR when it times out.
So to fix i think its needed to either make us able to select what death we want to look at or block it form logging SoR as a death.
Quick Question: Is there anyway to make Skada's Bars (i.e. damage/healing bars) completely transparent?
I set the all the bar transparencies to as low as they will go and still I get a shadowed bar background. I would just like to have classcolored text with no bar background.

Edit: I found out why that was happening. I had it set with a background texture instead of setting it to empty. Silly me
The one/two big problems I have with Skada are the weird mechanic by which the most damaging attack usually isn't displayed in the details window, and that the Death Log is so quirky (doesn't work all too often).
Other than that I really think we have a sort-of Assessment v2 here, which in itself is so awesome I lack words for it. :P
I can't however say much about efficiency compared to "the usual Dmg Meter" (Recount), so I wouldn't know what to look for there. Has anyone ever done tests involving both mods to see how much CPU time they use?

I'm using the latest version and encountered that error not only since the last version.

from the damage overview section, but I'd prefer an options instead of a hack :)

I would like this aswell, an option to remove the ''16%'' line at the end, similar to the option to remove DPS/HPS values.
The "Class Colored Text" option doesn't work anywhere close to correctly. Once enabled, text is forever shown in random colors, many of which aren't even class colors (dark blue, bright green), even after the option is disabled, and between sessions. The only way to get rid of it is to reset the profile or delete the saved variables. :(
