You know how when you create a manual filter, the filtered items & new categories are listed beneath the manual filtering text boxes?
Ok - Say I want to create a manual filter for Wands. I drag a Wand icon into the slot, then I type in the name for the new section - "Wands" - then I choose an association from the dropdown menu to associate it with a basic category?
Would it be possible to make the second step a dropdown containing all the previous manual filters I've created? So if I drag a second wand into the box, I could just have the "Wands" section in a drop down for the second step?
Alternatively, say I have two wands in my inventory - a burning wand and a mystic wand. I set up the Wands category, like normal, using the burning wand. Then I equip the burning wand. Now the only wand listed in my inventory is the mystic wand, which is still filed under the general category, "Equipment".
Would it be possible add the mystic wand to the "Wands" category by dragging & dropping the mystic wand icon on the Wands section listed in the manual filter list?
Either of these options would prevent confusion from, say, making a typo when you try to add an item to an existing category but you don't have a previously manually-filtered specimen in your inventory so you could drag & drop onto the category in your inventory list.
@Merneith : If I correctly understand you problem, you can drag'n'drop the item on the title of the category in your bag. Note that you have to have at least one item in the category for the title to appear, as empty categories are not shown.
Adirelle, I have an odd one, and I'm not even sure how to file a bug report on it to the ticket tracker so...
On all my characters except my DK, when I have the bank open, the tidy bags works as intended. It makes stacks, put things in the correct bags, etc. However, the tidy bags goes into an infinite loop sorting on the DK. It might have something to do with Inscription and "parts", because it keeps sorting stacks of ink parts.
No error is thrown, so BugSack remains happy, and closing or walking away from the bank stops the endless loop. When I go back to the bank, my bags are nicely sorted.

Yeah, I get that part. That part works fine for me.
What I'm saying (and it's just a suggestion, of course) is - wouldn't it make life easier if we could drag the items over to the categories which are already listed on the manual filter page? And also, wouldn't it be a good thing to be able to drag and drop the items listed on the manual filter page into different categories.
For example, I really want weapons to appear in their own category. So I have a category called 1H Swords and another for 2H Swords. But I accidentally assigned an item to a category called 1H Sword - no plural - and now I've got that one sword in its own category. And I don't have the sword itself any more, so I can't edit it. The suggestions above would let us edit the categories even if we don't actually have the item anymore.
So that's what I was talking about. I don't even know if it's possible. I just wanted to toss the idea out there.
Are you aware there is a configuration panel for that filter so would let you remove any item from any category ?
Yeah, I know about that. That works fine. What I was talking about was using the configuration panel to move items between filters. I don't mean to harp on about it though. I'll shut up now.
Thanks for the great addon. I really do like this a lot.
I like how your addon is GO right out the box only thing i really wish it did or there was a option for is the ability to show all item that the current character can't use as RED. would really help with sorting what's what at a glance so that i can clean up my bags and get on with my day.
Thanks for the addon. I have two requests, please:
1. Include an option to *not* auto-close when leaving vendors/AH/etc. I often leave my bags open for long periods a time while in the trade district. With Adibags, I'm constantly having to re-open them.
2. Respect the framelevel of other addons. If I click on another addon window and "bring it to front", it should be the top-level window. Adibags steals the framelevel and is always-on-top. Skillet and the AH windows are two examples where Adibags remains on-top..
1. Does AdiBags auto-close when your bags were open before talking to the vendor ? (Can't remember how I wrote this, it could also depends on the stock UI, and other addons modifying it, since I hook its functions.)
This brings to mind an annoying behavior which may or may not be AdiBags. It could be Auctionator, which adds a few tabs to the AH interface. One of those is a "sell" window. When I go to the AH, the bag window and the AH window open. When I switch to the "sell" window (because I want to sell stuff in my bags) the bag window closes. Very annoying.
Hi, is there anywhere a set of instructions on how to create custom rules? I want to create a set of rules that will group (in my bank) all cards of a specific deck to their own section. Is there a way of specifying that all items of type "of Mages" will go to a "Mages Deck" section? Thanks.... Awesome add-on... I switched to it from TBag.
@cheburator, take a look at AdiBags_PT3Filter, that adds filter based on PeriodicTable-3.1 item sets. You should probably be able to create a filter based on the "Misc.QuestMats.Darkmoon Faire.Deck.*" sets.

The bug has already been reported :

2. Gonna take a look.
I did observe one special case. If at the AH, if I click on an item and drop it back into my bags, the window does not close when leaving the AH.
Have a good day.
A notation like "* of Mages" would be nice...
I found the culprit. This should work as expected as of v1.4.1. However, hitting the escape key still closes all windows, including the bags.
