I used this new EBB for a while and tried to configure it, but it was driving me crazy. Couldn't get it to clamp to the edge of the screen like I was used to. In addition, the old EBB seemed to dyamically put debuffs in the same area as buffs. If I want to continue that functionality, where debuffs are always on the bottom and buffs are on top, with aura's growing 'up' from the bottom right, should I just stick with the old EBB?
The idea of a full recode and totally Ace2 sounds nice, but since I have no problems with the way EBB works, and I couldn't get the new version to do the same thing, I'm wondering if I should just use EBB for now. My fear, of course, is that patch day comes, and my old mod disappears since its not under development currently.
Love your mod btw. Thanks for the active develpment.

Place the debuffs were you want them and anchor the buff frame to the debuff frame.

- switch all three groups to 'growup'
- place the group that should be the lowest one (eg tench or debuff) put the others abouve one after the other. if you place them correctly they'll anchor to the previous one and all is fine :)

I will be checking this out.
Thanks.
What are the 3 groups?
Besides buffs, and debuffs, what is the third group?
I downloaded sharedmedia to go along with the EBB to get more textures but I just can't figure out how to bring up the menu for that and be able to actually change the textures. Any help?
Thanks for the reply, but are there any / (slash) commands to get to them? Because I have no EBB plugin on my map and the only thing I am able to do is /ebb and that doesn't get me to the group-bar-texture.

Two ways actually:
1. Alt+LeftClick on the buff frame to turn on the anchor. Right-click anchor title to access menu. Choose Bar Layout -> Bar -> Bar Texture
or
2. /ebb config, then:
Group Settings -> Group # -> Bar Layout -> Bar -> Bar Texture
I log out, log back in. and they're still grouped, but now seperated by 'x' amount of space.
Yeah I have to same problem... I need to reanchor every group again on login to get rid of that wasted space...
Elkano, why don't you just set a global value for the space between anchored groups... lets say I set it to 5 and then each group is 5 units away from the other grp regardless of self.layout.barspacing

I tried both of these, nothing happens when I try the first way. I don't get no anchor no anything. Typing /ebb config gets me this: EBB config is no valid parameter. Damn this sucks !
Well I installed it from wowace obviously but I'm gonna try and get it again, because I've installed it a while ago so might have been changed. Thanks.
the link in the first post of this thread should point to the correct file, unfortunatly it seems the server is currently having some issues :/
So make sure you are running ElkBuffBars, the beta, and not ElkBuffBar, the old one.
Oohhh ! That was my problem, I was using the old one. Really appreciate your replies guys, thanks alot. Now just waiting for the server to come back on.
As a request:
If you have played around with the new settings and created a layout besides standard layout that nicely fits your UI and demonstrates EBB's "new power", would you mind posting some screenshots?
It would be nice to see what you did to it and maybe would give others some ideas :)
This is something I found via google, I think he wanted to demonstrate his guild the power of white-/blacklisting ^^:

I have all 3 groups stuck together, growing up, and set where I want them.
Working fine and dandy.
I log out, log back in. and they're still grouped, but now seperated by 'x' amount of space. which messes up where I want the 'bottom' to be.
Any idea's why?

Rocking. 100% commited to the ace2 version now. EBB 'normal' is gone.
