Hi Elkano, first off: thanks for a very good addon, been using it a long time.
I recently tried to replace classtimer as the addon to show the target's debuffs, but I don't think I completely understand it. I made a new group, put the filter on debuff, put in the min/max timers to avoid certain debuffs, so that part I do get. But, in a raid my screen quickly fills up with all the debuffs in the raid, where as I only want to keep track of my own debuffs. For now, I tried manually blacklisting most of them, but that's not exactly what I want either. When I play my priest, I'd like to be able to see SW:P, VT etc, but when I play my paladin I want to see my judgement, my dot etc (I also play a rogue, mage and hunter, so seeing only my own debuffs is quite important). What am I missiing? Or am I looking for something that isn't there?
I'd also like to know if it's possible to set up a group to show only my druid hot's on the target, as well as a group with my pet's buffs (for my hunter obviously).
To summarize:
- I only want my own debuffs, class-dependent
- I'd like a HOT-group
- I'd like a pet group
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
PS: I tried to find an answer in here, but 86 pages .......
for the target:
- set target to TARGET as you did
- set the type filter to DEBUFF
- set the selfcast filter to whitelist
for the pet
- set the target to PET
- set the type filter to BUFF
for your HoTs on your target
- set target to TARGET as you did
- set the type filter to BUFF
- set the selfcast filter to whitelist
- set the whitelist filter to only yot HoTs
Not sure what's goin on, but whenever I get to posess a target (such as mounting the Mammoth in Borean Tundra, or operating the Harpoon Gun in Howling Fjord), if I dismiss the posession buff, nothing happens, and I'm stuck on the mount/harpoon until the buff expires.
Try to dismiss you mount-pet. That should work I think.
There was a change in mount mechanics when they introduced vehicles and I haven't found the time to support vehicles, yet. But I hope I'll fine time to fix them, soon.
I play a Death Knight with the Mining profession. I usually have Find Minerals set as my Tracking Skill. When I die, this is set to None, but ElkBuffBars still says I have Find Minerals. Only when I right-click this can I actually see that the tick is next to None.

I thought Tracking Skills were meant to remain on when you died.
Do you turn into a Ghoul when you die? If so that may be where the problem is. When you turn into a ghoul the tracking get set to none. Then after 45 secs you die with no tracking. So you res with no tracking.
I haven't tried to set tracking as a ghoul yet. So I don't know if you can. It's just something I noticed.
Ah, good point. Yes, I do turn into a Ghoul and most of the regular player actions are disabled. I haven't tried changing tracking skill yet, but I'd be surprised if I could.
There is still a bug with tracking. Easy way to see it: level a druid, change into cat and back out. It will still show "track humanoids".
But this also happens with the Blizzard tracking button. Somehow the event isn't being fired.
I have a lv 70 druid. I mostly play PvE so I keep find herbs up 100% of the time. Cats can track herbs. So whenever I shape shift I keep find herbs up. That bug only happens when I want to track humanoids. Something my caster form can't do.
The problem with DKs is their ghoul "form" can't track anything. So when they go ghoul tracking gets set to none. When they die 45 secs later they die with no tracking.
They are related but a fix for druids tracking will not help DKs tracking. This is because DKs can't go from ghoul to humanoid. They can only go from humanoid to ghoul.
The fix for DKs is to allow ghouls to track. Then they will be just like my druid who keeps track herbs up 100% of the time. They will die and res with their tracking set.
What I'd like to do, and have tried, without success, and have seemed to screw up my normal debuffs with pitbull, is this...
I want to make a bar for my target which only tracks specific debuffs, living bomb, scorch, and a couple others. I for the life of me cannot figure out how to do so, any help or point in the right direction would be dandy.
- create a new bargroup
- set the target to TARGET
- set the type to DEBUFF
- apply the debuffs once to your target
- set up the whitelist with these debuffs
- ???
- PROFIT!
The buff bar doesn't seem to be updating as it should. If i track herbs then change it to any other tracking ability (repair/regents etc etc) the herb icon and text stays there, but if i hover the Find herbs it will show what i switched it to in the tooltip.
This can be very annoying if i die for example it wont show none it shows find herbs so unless you check by hovering over the bar and see that it says none you think you have Find Herbs / Mining up.
Is this mod still being actively developed?
I have the latest version installed via the curse client r135
if you would have checked at least the last page in this thread you would have noticed that the problems wrt tracking are caused by the client itself and not by the mod.

I dunno, maybe when Blizzard fix there end, EBB will be fixed.

try to check against Blizzards implementation.
