was there any chance (ok.. might just be me who's lazy) that you could pop your future updates to a working wotlk version in a sepperate "wotlk" folder in the svn branch? :) just to avoid ppl whining about a non working version when they get their beta invites? :)
Hiya elkano, been over 2 years since I've come to you with a problem. In so saying thanks again for the great mod. As a reward(lol!), I come without a problem, but a request/question. Pretty much wondering if the strata question has been looked into. Atm, I'm using fubar and the hide feature and would like to use the newly reclaimed real estate at the top of the screen. While Seerah's option would work for some, I'd like to be able to access my buffs without cramming my fubar into the center of my screen. Any news on this or info on how to do it myself would be greatly appreciated.
As an additional note, I was able to set chinchilla's strata from background to low and achieve what I needed so perhaps just that strata lvl of coding would be needed to achieve this.
I have used your buffbars for a long time now and I have to say there is nothing like it and I can't function without it, thanks for all the hard work. That being said I would really like it if you would consider using Waterfall config or taking a stab at the issue of how Addon Preferences parses your dewdrop menus (screenshot on page 39 of this thread). It is very difficult to configure your addon simply because you have to go through so many levels of popover menus that close when you select an option.
Edit: The error below was not related to ElkBuffBars it was caused by some other addon.
[2008/10/16 12:23:01-1451-x1]: AceAddon-2.0-91091 (ElkBuffBars):1055: CreateFrame(): Couldn't find inherited node "SecureStateHeaderTemplate"
AceAddon-2.0-91091 (ElkBuffBars):983: in function <...ddOns\ElkBuffBars\libs\AceAddon-2.0\AceAddon-2.0.lua:976>
<in C code>: ?
AceEvent-2.0-91091 (ElkBuffBars):260: in function `TriggerEvent'
AceEvent-2.0-91091 (ElkBuffBars):910: in function <...ddOns\ElkBuffBars\libs\AceEvent-2.0\AceEvent-2.0.lua:903>
I think so, too. Most likely EBB is only mentioned in that error since it was the addon providing the libs first. EBB itself doesn't use the secure header stuff at all.
But from the code in AceAddon-2.0 it seems like some addon is trying to create some secure header in its OnEnable code and that fails since the secure header system was changed in 3.0. so you're running some outdated code that is unfortunatly not blamed correctly.
Now that I finally can log in to server I think it is gone (server was down yesterday, it has not worked well since 3.0.2).
As I changed/updated a few mods, I'm not 100% what it was, but my guess is Fortress and/or some module. It is the only mod I changed to another (ButtonBin). Fortress did cause some other problems when trying to config and setup profiles.
i've a problem with the remaining debuff and buff time.
The 1st Buff&Trackings group work fine as always (showing the statusbar and the countdown), anyway in my configuration i use another 2 groups...
1 for my temporary buffs (like sprint, vanish, slice and dice ecc..) and another one (really really important to me) that displays my debuff on the current target (like my poisons, stuns, rupture ecc)..
In the 2 other bars the countdown doesn't work properly... it doesn't refresh... umm it refreshes at random, evren if the same buff in the 1 default group is showed correctly.. i.e.: Sprint is showing the true remaining time (say 7 secs) in the 1st group, while in my personal buff bar is standing still at 15 secs)
The weapon buff group has the same problem.
Im using the r127 downloaded from curse.com
Can you help me?
Tx in advance
(sorry im not english :\ hope its clear enough)
