EBB can show tracking as a normal buff so there is no need for the tracking icon on the minimap. Thus an option to hide it was added which is on by default. If you want the icon on the minimap, simply disable hiding of the icon via the config menu.
without tracking included in the filter (shouldn't show tracking in the list, and hence.. on minimap)
Any fix for this incomming? as i don't really want to disable DoT Timers. i just switched from elkbuffbar to elkbuffbars and with elkbuffbar all is fine even after 2.3 except for the fact that elkbuffbar can't show durations anymore.
I think it is hiding MinimapTracking even without that option checked. I had EBBs set to not hide the tracking button before (because I used Fizzwidget Track Menu), so that option was not checked when 2.3 went live. But when I logged in, the button was hidden. I double checked my options, and I believe that toggling the option had no effect, though I admit I don't recall 100%.
I found I had to flip the option twice so that it was back to not hidden and then relog to get it to take effect.
Another issue I saw was that I had set up different tracking types to show in different groups. For example I had filtered out Track Humanoid from the normal group and made it listed in the feral self buffs group. The effect of this was that the tracking options completely disappeared from ElkBuffBars when any of these tracking types were up. In the end I ended up creating a separate tracking group and removing all the tracking items from the other groups. Once I figured that out I turned hiding of the minimap back on.
Kyron, you applied a magic debuff, didn't you? since then the bar (not the background) would be colored blue for magic. But you can disable debuff type coloring in the options.
Works fine thanks you, one thing left, only the debuff i apply myself are red, debuffs applied by others have no colors, just the background is visible, i understand EBB can't know how much time is left on someone else's debuff but can't they be red like my own debuffs ? (other than turning the background to red too :))
Edit: ignore this, it seems that a reloadui fixed it.
one last question (damn i've been using this addon for months without asking) could it be possible to "stack" all the same debuffs in a single one, like for example all the vampiric embrace from 3-4 spriests in a single vampiric embrace x4 ?
without tracking included in the filter (shouldn't show tracking in the list, and hence.. on minimap)
iirc, the "hide tracking button" or whatever it's called option is in the top level of the EBB options - not per bar group. But there is still a bug with it. :)
I think I found the bug... since Blizzard's code doesn't hide the button anymore when there is no tracking selected it also wont show it. I simply forgot to show it myself again ^^'
Love the mod. DLed the new version and try to customize it. Regular buff are fine but as soon as i change the width of the bars my Weakened Soul debuff separates from regular buffs and remains dfault size. How can i fix this
Actually, it was me being an idiot and it's all fixed now. :)
Can you tell us what happened then? I was having the same issue this cat reported (my timers would report "%d m" instead of the time on the buffbar. I "fixed" it by setting the timer option to "full" instead of default, which is the minutes:seconds instead of just the shortened summary of "x minutes."
I eventually deleted my .lua files, which didn't fix anything. I later deleted my .lua *and* the entire elkbuffbar directory and that seemed to fix it. So my resolution is just to ensure you delete everything before you use this version.
I'm wanting to ensure that this guy had the same issue though, for other people.
I defenitly wont. As you may noticed I wrote SML-1.0 and although I'm listed as authr of SML-2.0, I'm not. I have already coded the successor of SML-1.0 myself but I'm still deciding on some things and I also want to test some stuff wrt that first.

Im having the excatly same problem. The default buff are visible until is zone to somewhere else and then everything is working well. But when i log in, both the buffbars and the normal blizzard UI buffs are visible to this. Havent tried disabling Dot timer yet but would be interested if there is some other way to get it working too.

Does that mean you will replace the current SML-2.0 with your code or will you create a new lib?
Am I the only one who's getting Blizzard's buff frame still while using EBB? I'm using the latest version, updated via WAU.
i got the same problem, it's a conflict with dotimer.(in fact i think this is a bug of dotimer as it shouldn't do this)
to solve the problem, just disable Ash_PlayerAuras model of dotimer(use khaos, or in character selecting screen, or delete this folder directly), this won't affect dotimer's other function.
this model is a blz buff frame replacement like ebb, and it's turned off by default(if you want to see what it is, just type /playerdebuffs to open its config dialog and check on enable). the problem is that when it's turned off(but not disabled so it's still loaded), it will actively turn on the blz default buff frame on every login. i think the conflict refers to blz's ui loading order, in pre 2.2.2 we didn't get this problem because ebb was loaded after dotimer, but now the situation has changed(this also explains why some one get this problem while other don't). i don't understand why dotimer behaves like this, it needn't and shouldn't actively show blz's default buff frame as it would shows itself if no ui hide it
well, oit's most likely for the case that you disable it while it was running before so they show up again. Theoreticaly I should do that in EBB too but I think I don't.
But you are right, disable it in the addon screen and all should be fine.
Are you running the latest version? This was fixed. Unless it's a locale issue?

with the tracking in the filter (showing tracking in the list and hence not being meant to have on the minimap)

reverting to 1.3

exactly what am I doing wrong with the new version since I can't get it to display on my minimap??

Thanks
