I would like some sort of visible option when a buff is ending. Flashing bar, or something like that. I wasn't able to find anything when setting this up, so if it is already there someone please point me to it. :)
Isn't there, afaik. CDT2 has some nice color-change (from red to green) while a bar shrinks. Would be cool if it were possible to have that in EBB. Or maybe flashing bars at the last 10%. Settable per bar-group, wouldn't make sense to have that for all bars.
I have been having a problem since I downloaded the latest version last night - when I have EBB loaded, my skill tracking icon on my minimap is hidden. I use EasyTrack and I don't have any skills on my bars, so I am now opening up my spellbook to turn them on.
This is a great mod and I want to keep using it, but I have a pretty minimalist style and would prefer not to take up button space with tracking skills.

I was having this problem with GFW Trackmenu.
I noticed that the mini-map icon came back when I wasn't tracking anything, but disappeared once I turned on herb tracking or something.
Take a look through your options for EBB while it's showing the tracking buff and somewhere in there you'll find an option checked that disables showing the tracking icon on the mini-map.
Right now, I forget exactly where it is in the options or what's called, but once I unchecked it, the mini-map tracking icon showed again for me.
Yes, this option was added recently and was documented in the changelog. Some people preferred to view what they were tracking in EBB instead of on their minimap icon. So an option to hide the icon was added.
I must preface this post with the fact that I absolutely love EBB. I think it's been one of the addons I've been using the longest.
I do however have a request:
Would it be possible to add an option to custom colour certain kinds of buffs. For example, I'd really like the ability to colour Pally Blessings in a way that makes them more visible to me. Even moreso, on my pally, being able to highlight my current Seal would be incredibly helpful (as right now it tends to get lost in my buff list, even despite it's short duration).
Quick question, It has probably been answered somewhere else, but i could not find it.
how do I copy the changes i have made from one group to another? nothing I do seems to work.
There really are no good raid buff monitoring addons that I've been able to find and ElkBuffBars is the closest I could find for what I want. Have you ever thought about being able to monitor specific buffs for a raid (for example Mark/Gift of the Wild). It would be awesome to have the same visual layout, but have it set a threshold so you could monitor 10 (or whatever number you want to set it to) raid members that the buff is going to expire next (or missing) on.
Right-click casts something, left-click casts something else based on whatever you set (for a druid it could be left-click motw and right-click gotw).
New options:
Target -> [Party/Raid]
Filter -> Max Buffs To Show
Bar Layout -> Text xxx -> Text Shown -> Player Name
Left-Click -> [Remove Buff/Cast x]
Right-Click -> [Remove Buff/Cast x]
I think that would do it actually (other that showing raid/party members without whatever the buff was).
Anyway, just an idea to make an awesome addon become even more awesome and serve a whole new function...
My problem is, that I can't switch off the default Blizz buff list. If I use DoTimer Playerbuffs, the Blizz buffs are turned off, EBB does not manage to do that. Worked fine before 2.2, now I see both frames, Blizz buffs and EBB...
I'm sorry, but I'm going to ask some very stupid questions. I've read through as much of this thread as I can, but it's over 20 pages now and the search function didn't really help.
First, please let me say that I just started using EBB and it's by far the best buff timer I've ever installed. Thank you for all the hard work. I can tell it's a real labor of love.
Okay, stupid question #1: Is there any sort of user guide/faq for this package? I normally don't have problems figuring out add-ons, particularly those built with Ace2. But I'm really kind of mystified by some of the choices offered, and the apparent lack of other choices. I'd rather just read a manual than pester the author with questions.
Stupid question #2: What does "tench" mean, and why are those buffs listed below the standard buffs like pally blessings, hunter aspects, etc? All I want are my weapon enhancements, like major mana oil, included with the others. That way, I only have to scan a single chronological list to see what's wearing off. I figured out how to include debuffs in that list, but not these tench things. And I can't figure out how to format this tench list to match the bar styles of my standard list, either.
Again, I apologize if this has been covered before and if I'm just making people repeat themselves.
I didn't change anything specific to 2.2, yet but I had done some other changes localy before. I don't see any of the bugs mentioned after 2.2 but wrt the tooltip buff one of my earlier changes may have solved it.
And no, there is no manual so far, I'm still hoping fore someone to simply start doing it for me as I'm to lazzy to do so :(
and wrt tench (aka weapon buffs) simply also select tench in group 1's filters. :)

I was getting the exact same problem. However, it seems to have gone away after I replaced my WAU updated mods (without externals) with the wowace zip equivalents (-> with externals). Maybe a library issue? *shrug*
Yes, this option was added recently and was documented in the changelog. Some people preferred to view what they were tracking in EBB instead of on their minimap icon. So an option to hide the icon was added.
The trouble with this, as I see it, is that ElkBuffBar hides the tracking minimap icon by default which is a bit confusing if you have a mod like Fizzwidget TrackMenu. I spent ages tracking down which mod was hiding it...
It would be much less confusing if the default setting was to leave the track icon unhidden, then if someone wants to hide it they can do so when they notice the option in ElkBuffBars config menu.
Anyway, minor niggles aside (see above post) I love ElkBuffBars.

I'll give it a try when I play tonight.

Because I never thought of that ;p

i'd recommend taking a loot at PerfectRaid, XRaidStatus (aka XRS) and/or BigBrother.
