Me again, i've committed a change which should fix the bug reported by nexus6 regarding rebuffing.
I've also changed a few things and done a lot of testing (with thanks to my lovely gf Rainbowchild) so now despite having multiple debuffs of the same type, still tracks all the buffs i cast correctly.
As always, happy to hear suggestions and problems!
Ori
I've done some testing with the SV files, if they're set to readonly then they wont be overwritten, so thats all i can think of which could be causing the texture to not save.
.\WTF\Account\<ACCOUNTNAME>\SavedVariables\SpellReminder.lua
thats the one for non-char specific settings like texture and font etc.
I still can't change textures and I've deleted that file and reinstalled SpellReminder and still nothing.
ALSO....
My texture selection doesn't seem to take effect either (as the person above is stating). I use BigWigs, oRA2, sRaidFrames, and Omen. I have all 4 of those set to the "Smudge" texture. SpellReminder is the only one that will not change it's texture for me (as you can see in the SS above me...it's the default texture). I have "Smudge" selected, but doesn't take effect.
lol man, i dont need more bars, i need less :D
look at the image
1: my buffs. ok. i dont want other bars for stuff i cast on myself. so i dont need to track them twice. so i dont want to see these in spellreminder frame.
2: buffs to others. and to others only. not on myself. just timers for buffs i cast on others.
3: a remider.
so, i just need to UNTRACK spells i cast on myself. and the reminder.. well i cant find a sound to associate to the reminder. and i cant find a way to see it just textually.
aha, fixed it. Silly bug really, the texture wouldnt load unless you ticked the "override" option, i'll rework the menu now so it should all play nicely and make a bit more sense (i kind of threw it together).
I've also fixed the nil bug when swapping targets quickly.
Commit to follow soon, gonna try and work something out for kappe. Make him a happe kappe (har har, i'm so amusing!!)
Hi Tater,
i just committed it about 5 minutes ago, and the server only triggers updates every 20 minutes (i beleive). the next one should be on the hour. So give it 5 minutes or so and it should be available :)
I've just changed a few things around to do with bar creation, and also the replacement of buffs (pally blessings could use some testing, pretty please!).
Its a lot more efficient now, and should no longer get the "flickering" effect on emphasised bars.
Added option to "split" casts on self and casts on others.
Depending on interest, its possible to split this further. I envisage self/buff/debuff all as seperate groups, using a shared emphasis.
For example, you could have beneficial spells on the left, and detremental effects on the right. so you can split your brain depending on what job you're doing at the time.
Any thoughts on this?
Ori
EDIT: just a further note on this, the seperate groups would be optional, toggleable if you please. So if you want to split self, tick it and it splits out, if you want to split buffs, tick it and it will split out into another group. For now i'll leave it as is, i've got quite a lot of work on at the moment. ^^
Great addon, exactly what I was looking for when I needed something to track buff/debuff durations. Once you get the audio working with shared media I'll consider it perfect. One suggestion, if it's possible can you make the sounds for self cast expirations and enemy expirations a different sound file or give the user the ability to assign different sounds to different skill expirations. Once again thanks for your hard work, great addon.

good news ^^
now i'll see if buffs i cast on myself are hideable :P
Anyway, it's still somehow failing to keep track of HoTs, I just randomly cast it on people passing by and it simply didn't pick up one of the HoTs I cast.
As you can see in the screenshot it's not tracking the HoT on Sacred. I did nothing special other than cast them really fast.

Hi Serenus!
I'm glad textures are working finally *phew*. The reason its missing a few renews is because of the nature you're casting. If you switch target before the aura has been applied then spellreminder doesnt know about it. In a working situation you would be in a party or raid with the people you're casting quickly on, and the aura event is triggered for each and every person in the raid, regardless of whether you have them targetted or not, so it shouldn't miss anything in that situation. Here's hoping, at least!
I used it all last night, and it seemed to work flawlessly. Unfortunately I was the only shadow priest in raid, so I didn't get to test that aspect exstensively, but I got a few of the holy priests to throw on some swps, and those didn't break the addon.
Hopefully I'll get to test it on Vashj tonight, and it should be easy to see if the weird name bug is still there.

Great news, thanks for bearing with me and for your help in testing! It really is appreciated :)

Is this likely to happen to mobs as well? I mean, if I cast DoTs too fast would it lose track of a few of them?
That side, I'm loving this addon, I'm gonna run it along Chronometer on the next couple Raids to make sure I can replace it.
Thanks for all the attention and prompt replies. Keep it up! =)

It worked flawlessly in SSC today. Great work! I'm really happy about not having to run DoTimer along with SR (had to do it on the last raid or two).
There was another sp in the raid and I didn't notice any of the weird behavior on Lady Vashj, so that aspect seems to be working as well.
I'm also wondering if you have any plans of incorporating cooldowns into this addon.
I know there are several cooldown addons out there, but I would really love it if it was possible to incorporate cooldowns into the bars (so that when I'm dpsing the CDs will be emph'ed along with my dots, or when I'm aoe tanking the cooldown of TC will show up along with the duration of the active TC).
Thanks again for your work, it's much appreciated.

Candybar 49704.1
I really wasn't doing anything when it occured, other than mousing over people in Shatt.
Also, here's a link to a SS with some of my Spellreminder bars displayed....feel free to use it, if you like:
