I think I might have found a bug, when unchecking show icon, it greys out the show shield option, but it doesnt hide the shield. Checking show icon will then allow you to uncheck show shield and then you can uncheck show icon to get them both hidden.
On the InFlight support issue, well i checked it out, and it seems impossible to support InFlight, because it hides the data i need completly in local variables. I simply can't access it. If you want InFlight support back, contact the InFlight author and ask for a simple function to access the flight data from outside.
I posted this in the support ticket for inflight as well, but thought I'd drop it here as well-- any thoughts on supporting handynotes_flightmasters? Everybody uses mapster and handynotes these days, so it would allow us to remove an addon from our list, a pretty big win.
In your newest release where you removed support for InFlight, did you you make any other changes to the flight time code? Using FlightMap, I just took a flight from Feralas to Orgrimmar and it says "2:54 / 380.7" on the cast bar. The 380.7 wasn't converted to 6:21.
That DK thing is weird. I'll try to look at it on my DK.
I may already know why. On DKs the spell cooldown is actually used to show rune cooldowns, which in itself is a nice feature, but it also means it doesnt show the global cooldown if all runes of a type are on cooldown.
Tested the newest beta version, and worked very well for me. I deleted the settings I had from the earlier version just to be safe. As I don't have any spellcaster characters, I use it somewhat inverted, with a really big target castbar (aka interruptbar for me) and small player castbar. And thanks for updating Quartz!
First off thanks for picking this up.
i tried the newest beta today and while it works fine, there are some minor things i noticed:
if you channel a spell the name of the spell isn't shown, it just says channeling, however the spell rank is displayed correct
the seconed thing is the spell rank, at this pint the option to change the style of the spellrank seems to do nothing, if you activate the option spell rank is always shown in what i think was formerly the "roman full text" style
i noticed both things while playing around with the player bar an haven't tested on the other ones so i can't say if it's affecting the other bars as well
Yep, thanks for picking this up and changing to a modern framework. Looks pretty good so far, except...
There is no ability to lock/unlock the Mirror bar currently. Making it a giant pain to move & resize that bar. Several other bars currently have a feature to lock/unlock them. I have yet to move/resize the nearly (by default) invisible Mirror bar due to the hassle of trying to deal with it when its active.
How about adding lock/unlock functionality to all bars? There are other non-embedded ones currently missing the functionality that could use it as well.
i like v3 of Quartz very much. I would love to see the following features added:
- outline option for fonts names and timers (thin, thick)
- offset option for borders (left, right, top bottom)
- a separate background texture for castbars including coloring
- the possibility to separate the flightbar from the player castbar
Love love *love* this AddOn, so happy it's still going strong - thanks for all your hard work!
One thing I can't find an option for though - I just updated to the very latest version (all Ace3), now every time someone calls for a Ready Check, I get a tiny timer bar that says 'Ready Check' on-screen. Can't seem to figure out which bar I need to un-enable to make that not show up.
I'm assuming that's a Quartz bar, I only updated a few AddOns today, and none of the others are bar-related.
EDIT: It's apparently a new function of the 'Mirror Bar' module for anyone else interested. On the "Mirror" module options there's a "Bars and Settings" tab, including a toggle checkbox for "Ready Check".
