Please disable all addons other than Quartz, backup and rename your Quartz SV file, then outline to me the steps to reproduce the error, including any configuration changes you need to make. I will fix it if I am able to reproduce it.
I am trying to get my border to be like Hal's: . I can't figure out how to get Quartz to allow me to use a custom border. When I checked Hal's WTF folder, the LUA said that his border was "default" but I didn't see that option in Quartz' options. Thanks for any help!
I just played with it more and the way I got my eePanels to look the way they do is through Background Inset Size and Border Edge Size. These two options are missing from the Quartz options. Would it be possible to somehow edit the LUA for those two options or maybe add them to the configuration menu? They are pretty simple, it's just a number that controls it.
I've just installed Quartz and I don't get anything but a spellcast bar. I was hoping to see my buffs and cooldowns but I haven't figured it out. Everything seems to be active in the config. Perhaps theres a guide for newbs somewhere?
Nono, it is just that people ask about new features that are well beyond a castbar all the time. :) That is what Quartz is: a castbar. One of the best out there (if not THE best). Quartz can show auras on targt and focus, but that is already more that a castbar should do IMO. The wiki is as much guide as you gonna find, I fear. If you need a cooldown timer, get a specialized addon for that. And even for the auras... most unitframes offer more options for showing auras than Quartz does.
For your own buffs, get EBB (if you like to have a bar), Satrina Buff Frames 2 or Buffalo.
If you want more options for auras on enemies, get EBB, Sorren's Timers or ClassTimer. If you throw a lot of DoTs around, maybe get SpellReminder or NECB, or (if you're a warlock) Forte Warlock.
For cooldowns... OmniCC (not a bar), CooldownButtons or CooldownTimers2 (not sure if they still work).
Today's update (incorporating LSM-3.0) isn't working for me, as Quartz is currently getting no fonts from ClearFont or SCT. SCT is still on 2.0 I believe, as are some of my others (OmniCC, Grid), but my ClearFont has 3.0. Not too long ago I manually installed the 2.0 lib once CF switched to 3.0 so that the aforementioned addons (including Quartz, at the time) could receive fonts from CF; this worked, quartz including. However now, Quartz is getting no fonts, despite having 3.0 (and CF having it also). What's interesting is, if I disable the LSM-2.0 (the entire library), with standalone LSM-3.0 installed, Quartz works. However the other addons don't. If both are enabled, the case is the same as if only 2.0 is enabled (quartz doesn't work, others work).
So yeah, I'm thinking there is some kind of lib incompatibility here. I'm not very proficient in libs so some help would be greatly appreciated :D
LSM-2.0 has its fingers in many pies, and registers to itself all media registered with lower versions. LSM-3.0 is properly self-contained, and doesn't do this. Until more addons upgrade to 3.0, your best bet is to download the SharedMedia addon, which registers a wide selection of fonts and textures to all versions of the SM library. It also includes instructions on how to add your own media, so if you have fonts in CF2 or SCT which aren't already included in the SharedMedia addon, you can easily add them so they'll be available in Quartz and other LSM-3.0 addons.
What confuses me though, is why when I have LSM-2.0 disabled, Quartz (and now Grid, which also updated to 3.0 today) don't get the fonts from CF. I looked at CF's embedded LSM-3.0, and it's different from that of Quartz and Grid; it's just the LSM-3.0 folder with LSM-3.0.lua and lib.xml inside, whereas the other two have an LSM-3.0 folder, with a number of things inside (CallBackHandler-1.0, LSM-3.0, LibStub, LSM-3.0.toc, and lib.xml) and a LibStub. So it seems that this may be the cause of the problem; does CF have LSM-3.0 imbedded incorrectly? I tried copying the LSM-3.0 embeds of Quartz in place of the one CF has, but that didn't seem to work. Thanks again.
[2008/04/19 12:02:57-1089-x1]: Quartz-0.1.0.62943\Flight\Flight.lua:46: attempt to index field 'locText' (a nil value)
(tail call): ?:
InFlight\InFlight.lua:149: in function `TakeTaxiNode'
<string>:"*:OnClick":1: in function <[string "*:OnClick"]:1>
looks like the locText object is missing from InFlightBar after a recent InFlight update. I've modified the Quartz Flight module to yank the string directly from the text region instead, please try again with r71059.
