Does anyone know of an addon or configuration for Quartz that breaks the non-lag part of the casting bar into thirds? Even just bars or carats at every third of the total cast time so if you have a 3 second cast, a mark at 2 seconds, a mark at 1 second, and the beginning of the red indicating 0 seconds.
As a shadow priest, clipping Mind Flay after the second tick and casting something else is about the last way I have to increase my DPS but it's currently very crude. Either interrupt it when it looks like I'm about 2/3 of the way through my cast or watch the time remaining on my cast and start my next spell when there is 1 second left. Haste is going to make this more crude (I have to pull out a calculator to find out when the second tick of a hasted MF will hit), and the tolerance will get smaller if I want to take advantage of hasted global cooldowns.
just updated and cant find the option to remove the Totalsec thing.
can someone point me in the right direction?
edit: also, i'd like to make sure it still counts down from the time left on the cast, not count up towards totalsec or whatever. and also, when new stuff is put in, can it be turned off by default? i like to keep current with addons but hate when the stuff i've set changes to a new "default".
Defaulting new features to "on" is something I do not normally do, however in this case I believe that I was justified.
Spell casting time is something that all of our damage dealing casters (myself as a SP) currently obsess over. With the upcoming 2.4 haste changes, all our healers are focussing on this as well. While the total cast time might not be needed for all right now, it is an essential part of the tool set of the player who wants to maximise their performance post 2.4 - the sort of player who uses Quartz.
The "Disable Blizzard Casting Bar" option was moved from the overall settings down into the Player settings, it now no longer saves this setting. You must uncheck and recheck it each time you login to have the blizzard bar not show up. Might want to fix that. :D
