If your ONLY add on is Quartz, you've tried wiping the savedvariables, you've given it a fresh reinstall from files.wowace.com or the WAU, and it's still having THAT kind of error... what can we recommend? Reinstalling/repairing WoW?
Hi! I love this addon, and it's working great; the only problem I have is that I want to anchor the target debuffs to the target cast bar, and every time i log out or quit wow, this option seems to reset to the default without reflecting the reset in the gui.
For example, I log in, I open the gui, change target debuffs to be anchored to the target cast bar instead of the player cast bar, and it works great. I log out, and log back in, and the target debuffs are appearing under my own cast bar. The gui still says they're set to appear anchored to the target cast bar, however.
I have to set it to something else and set it back for it to work again. I'd really like to have the debuffs by the target castbar, as that's the area i tend to look in while pvping. Any suggestions?
It's there. It's called "Show Rank" or some such. I usually have it off, but I just turned it back on earlier to test some macros (see if I set up modifiers correctly to cast a rank one).
I just downloaded the latest Quartz, 51118. To my surprise, the Steel texture is no longer there. Is this intentional? Steel happens to be my favorite texture.
The first one is about the latency red zone. How do I interpret the red zone? Is it true that spell cast commands are sent once you are in the red zone? Is this why people are trying to do /stopcasting in the red zone? Does it mean I can move my toon to do something else once my cast has reached the red zone?
Also, for the target buff bars, do they have to have black backgrounds or is it adjustable somewhere? I couldn't find background settings for buff bars.

*The red zone is based on your ping at the moment you began the cast, so your ping could change after that moment (if you have a relatively stable connection it should be fairly consistent). On the rare occasion you could in fact cancel your cast by using /stopcasting or moving when the the bar indicates you are in the red. This is because your ping has increased since you began your cast.. however, generally you you can save ~0.5 on every cast pretty easily by moving or /stopcasting.
In 2.3 blizzard has implemented a new spell queuing system so make hay while the sun shines imo
I have version 1.8.2 of Bongos2 and version 52125.1 of Quartz and it refuses to show for example the potions cooldowns in the action bars. I have tried all i can deleting Bongos and Quartz including the .lua files. Anyone who can help me plz. Is the problem with Bongos or Quartz.
Quartz is for cast-bars (and, to a lesser extent, to track debuffs on enemies). What you are looking for is an addon to track cooldowns. Try OmniCC (non-Ace). Or, if you actually want bars, CooldownTimers2.
Many people end up with up to 4 (or even more) addons to track stuff. Popular choice would be for example: Quartz for castbars, ElkanosBuffBars for buffs on yourself, ClassTimer (or just Quartz) for debuffs on enemies, OmniCC for cooldowns. That is by no means the single best way to do it, just a configuration that I guess many people use.
I'd like to replace my buffs frame, but i'm a bit of a pansy when it comes to making radical changes to my UI, and putting Elk buff bars in the place where the regular ones are now just takes up too much vertical space. I should reconsider how i have my entire UI arranged.
This has nothing to do with quartz; i'm just whining. :)
I've been using Quartz for some time, but the past couple of days I've noticed some target cast bars getting missed by Quartz? I saw it happen several times on Tuesday and turned on the target cast bar in Pitbull for a comparison yesterday and saw it happen again (i.e. the target was showing a spell being cast in Pitbull but it didn't appear with Quartz).
It seems very rare that this happens and there is nothing that I can do to force it to reproduce the behavior. Has anyone else seen this? Or know why it might be happening?
For the time being, I'll be running Antagonist + NECB alongside Quartz to see if the other two cast bar mods pick things up over Quartz.

For example, "Volley (Rank 3)"
I can't seem to find where this is enabled. Or am I going to have to do some hackin' *cracks knuckles*
Thanks! I don't know why I didn't think of this. It seems to be working so far. I haven't tested it extensively yet though. Thanks for the help!
