I cant seem to find out what the parent name of the debuffbar is. Does anyone know? when I mouse over it I get: 'Nil'
If you can't get the name, I have no clue how to do it. Maybe try another buff addons to see if they have names for their frames. I know Satrina has names for each buff/debuff frame. but thats not really a matter for this thread.
Any way to get the cast bars to list the number of consecutive casts of the same spell?
Something like
Scorch (1)
Scorch (2)
Fireball (1)
Would help when trying to maximising DPS in a raid where spell rotations come into play.
Sometimes things get a bit busy and I lose count of how many fireballs I've casted before I need to send off a scorch refresh. I'm old and my brain doesn't work as well as it used to =)
I have debuff timers on the enemy to use, but the casting bar is much larger and easier to see for reminders on when I may be getting close to needing a refresh.
If it's not in there - no biggie, just didn't want to miss out on it if it was. Thanks for the work on a hellofva mod!
Not sure if it's been dealt with previously in this thread but I noticed that when running the Flight module with InFlight, the Quartz bar picks up flights just fine, but it doesn't hide the default InFlight bar, leaving me with two bars on the screen. Kind of pointless.
Another little annoyance is the simple way which the Flight module handles flights. The layout and appearance is just fine, but I noticed if you attempt to cast a spell in flight the cast bar will pick up that spell and then will not return to the flight timer afterwards. Annoying for people using keybindings, because it's pretty easy to accidentally press an ability in flight.

InFlight is designed to be used by itself. If you just want a flight timer that hooks into your existing casting bar (whether it be Quartz or anything else) use an addon that's designed for that purpose, like ToFu.

I figured Quartz would at least provide the option to hide the default bar. It seems painfully simple to me.
Edit: Mihara, your sig is WAY too big.
Edit: No, ToFu doesn't pick up Quartz, and neither does InFlight. Rather Quartz picks ToFu and InFlight up. Which is why it would be responsible for dealing with visual redundancy it causes, like with the multiple bars.
Edit: Even if I were to use another addon it wouldn't matter. Quartz still hooks InFlight and is responsible for fixing the issue, IMO.
Edit: (Wow, that many edits are annoying.) I didn't know ToFu added Cartographer notes. Maybe I will change anyway.
Is there any way to reverse the orientation of the swing timer bar? Essentially I want to keep the total swing time on the left, keep the time remaining on the right, but have the bar grow from right to left instead of L->R as it does currently.
The reason is that as a hunter it's very useful to see my weapon attack speed (the "swing time" on the left) at the same time as I'm watching the end of the swing timer bar, to time my next special shot.
1. You need a flight timer mod like ToFu.
2. How are you trying to "skin" them?
Ohh the embarrassment :-/
I use eepanels to make a simple tooltip border around them, fx setting the uiparent to 'QuartzCastBar'
how would I go about skinning the debuff bars?

Would be nice to be able to hide certain buff and debuff timers on a target. For example mind flay and misery.

the position of the mirror bar wasn't selected. There was just a blank bar :I
thx for help

ToFu doesnt pick up quartz...
Works fine for me.
Take a look about half way down at the pic under the 'Flight' header - that's from ToFu and Quartz.

ROFL... I was thinking the exact same thing.... half of this page is that sig... and more than half of their post is their sig.

Adblock Plus ftw. :)
