1st Very nice addon that I use to replace all the other timer addons.
Just a small request, probably for Mirror Bar addon. Could it support Distract for Rogues?
I tried with the /quartztimer macro but the problem is that Distract 10 seconds timer (and the skill 30 seconds timer) do not start unless you click the targeting reticle.
The feasible way to support it is to start a 10 second timer for the Distraction Effect EACH time the Distraction skill gets into Cooldown (30 seconds).
ragamer, make use of the /endcasting function of macros. See the UI & Macros forum on the official site. I could have the /endcasting wrong. It might be called something slightly different, but the idea is that when the cast is over, the rest of the macro continues at that point. I can't get a link for you atm because the servers are down. :( But it's a stickied post.
I'm using a fubar addon to show my latency, and its showing around 125ms, but according to quartz its all over the place... ranging from 600 to 300ms, and sometimes 95ms etc...
Could the 'lag' be from the game server itself? I'm trying to figure out why I'm getting so much game lag when my latency is only showing 125ms.
I'm hesitant to ask this since Quartz already has quite a few modules, but are there any plans to add a cooldown module (just for the player, but enemies / target / focus would be cool too) similar to Hourglass. I really like the customization ability of Quartz bars, unfortunately Hourglass will probably never have that level of customization.

The latency timer in Quartz basically uses a measurement of how long it was between you starting a spellcast and the server saying your cast started. In other words, it's a snapshot of sorts, showing exactly how long it took for the server to respond to one specific event. In some cases this can be more accurate than the Blizz latency timing (what's on your FuBar) since that one is averaged and tends to "smooth out" spikes. However, if your ping varies widely during your cast, the bar shown Quartz may no longer be accurate by the time you finish casting. Hope this helps explain the discrepancy. :)

If you look at the Hourglass post, there's a customized core for it that has probably all the customization that most people would ever need, written by myself, and Mist.
As to the guy about Shadow Priests, take a look at ClassTimer, it uses the new api, which only shows your casts/debuffs anyway, so it would only show a timer for your own debuffs.
Is there a way to make the target and focus target casting bars have different color depending on which school of magic is being cast? Like red for fire, blue for frost and so on. This is a feature of for example Antagonist that I really don't want to give up.

I'm actually using that custom core (much appreciated btw) but I'm trying to get my hourglass cooldown bars to look exactly like my quartz bars. So text size / font / colors / cooldown number placement etc would all have to be easily changeable.

Yep. I'm using it for my target buff list. I'm using ElkBuffBars for my personal and focus buff lists. And I've turned off all of Quartz's buff tracking.
Hey, i was wondering if there was a way to get an audible for DoT expirations, or for that matter, any expirations. Like mebe a ding at 2.5s or w/e works.
Looking at the mod, that might be hard, considering it does per target DoT tracking, and i would want to have to hear "Ding dingdingdingdingding" whenever i get into a multiple enemy fight lol.
Im really jsut curious if that would work.
Oh, and you might want to post a link to this thread in your mod description at the curse site. the people over there that dont know this is an ace addon are gettin kinda antsy... lol
I'm really loving Quartz. However, I am wondering if there is an option to leave the bar on screen? Currently I have to uncheck the "Lock" box in the options but every time I log back in it's obviously locked again. Same thing with Swing timer. I just want to be able to leave them both visible all the time, regardless if I am casting/swinging.
I have my focus casting bar disabled. I really don't care to see it. BUT I do have my focus buffs/debuffs enabled, and I have them set to be displayed above the focus bar.
Now the issue is, whenever I exit WoW and restart, and I set something as my focus, their buffs/debuffs appear above my Player casting bar, instead of the focus casting bar (which is disabled). So I go into the options, quickly enable then disable the focus casting bar, and NOW the focus buffs/debuffs appear in the correct location.
But once again, when I restart WoW again, the issue will be back until I do the enable/disable trick.

Correction: I searched http://www.google.com/search?q=endcast+site%3Aworldofwarcraft.com and it turns up nothing usable. I could swear I saw it somewhere.
You might want the addon AfterCast from WoWI.
