I can't seem to be able to set up the Global Cooldown spell. Whatever I type in just gets erased when I press the GCD button. I've tried with "Ice Lance" "Ice Lance(Rank 1)" and some other spells and combinations with rank/without rank. What am I doing wrong?
I'm using mousewheel for spamming type spells and I have casting bar disappears often when I spam. Spell still casting but there is no casting bar for it shown at all. Same issue was with CBRipoff before. Is there any way to fix that ?

I second the request for a Player buff/debuff (timer) bar to be included into Quartz.
I know it can be done alreay with the Elk buffbar, but the less plugins I have doing (almost) the same thing the better. Makes for far easier maintenance and (re)configuration of my plugins, and less usage of system resources.

Uhm, that's how I tried first. Then I tried to follow the exact instructions given when the addon is loaded (that is, click the button after entering the spellname).
I'll double-check tonight to do an [enter] followed by [click on button]. I might have done the [enter] part with [close] after, not [click on button]...
or I'll just edit the savedvars if all else fails...
I just downloaded this addon and it's great! I too am really impressed with how modular it is. I was wondering if you had any plans to add buff bars for the player as well? It'd be great to have all of the buffbar options in one mod, not to mention I like the level of customization Quartz has for the focus/target buffbars and would love to see that available for player buffs too. I'm already using an independent buffbar mod but this is one thing I'd really want to see it Quartz since the target and focus bars are so nice!
IMO, (and this is my opinion), player buffs/debuffs do not belong in Quartz. There is already some stuff in there that doesn't really fit with the idea of a cast bar addon, but they plug into the mirror or cast bars already. The target and focus buffs/debuffs ONLY show what you cast (per the Blizzard API) and somewhat fit into the idea of a cast bar: when do I need to cast this next? When you're talking player buffs/debuffs, you're getting into things you cast, others cast, mob debuffs on you, weapon buffs, etc. IMO, it's too much for a casting bar addon and I would rather let EBBs or Buffalo or something handle it.
I tend to agree with Seerah, although having not explored the extent of Quartz' features I don't feel qualified to draw the line between what would and would not fit the spirit of the addon.
I agree with a few others, buff and debuff bars do not belong in Quartz. Quartz is a CASTBAR addon. Not a buff addon. Look no further than ElkBuffBars if you want kick-ass super-modular buff and debuff bars.

tbh i will sign on this one also, keep it simple imo, there are plenty of addons whoch handle debuff/buff tracking features better. Quartz should stick to its' main feature which is imo casting bars of all kind.

Are you also referring to the spell timers in this addon? I use it in place of Chronometer. I don't see the issue with having those.
I'm not sure if this has been asked for before (or if this is really the best place to make requests), but would it be possible to add the target name (not the player's current target) to the casting bar? I do a lot of targeting switching during casts, and sometimes end up casting a spell on the wrong person (heals and CC in arenas in particular).

I didn't say that I had an issue either. :P Even the other random things like flight timers, all the stuff for the mirror bar, etc - I said that they at least make use of things that are already present in Quartz (cast bar, mirror bar).

player buffs don't beling in quartz. buff/debuffs on target and it's casting bar beling here in quartz.
Flight timer intergration is something imho that was added as part of a legacy request.
While it looks pretty from what I can tell, so far I'm going to give this addon a thumbs down. You can't move it!
Hello? I've got the damn castbar overlapping my action bars, and I've got my action bars exactly where I want them. I can't understand why anyone would make their casting bar frame unmovable, otherwise why not just use the default one?
Sorry, but at this time I'm sticking with eCastingBar, because I can move it where I want it.
...you can move it.

This is true for ALL ace addons that use that style of text entry.

Might have been Lifebloom in ToL

Would be great if you could globaly change some settings, like the texture/font
