Wenn will we see a beta realease of Mapster, I know its in branches, but that keeps giving a bug :(
I dont want to derail this thread, but I am not getting a mapster error at all. I absolutely love gathermate btw....If your talking the ace3 lib error just drop a standalone copy of ace3 in your addon folder.
Hmm been using GatherMate with routes, but I can never get routes to redraw. Example: I find a new cloud in Zangam GatherMate marks it on the map, I tell routes to redraw and it doesn't include that newly found node. I even deleted the whole route and made a new one and it still missed the new one(s).
Working very well. If QuestObjectives were included into a port, then I would be totally sold. I have so many alts and I find I can't live without that module.

This is because the functionality to automatically insert new nodes and delete deleted nodes (into Routes) hasn't been implemented in the zip file copy of Routes and GatherMate you downloaded.
If you have a SVN client, you can update your GatherMate and Routes to today's copy on the branches where this missing capability is now fully implemented (about 3 hours ago). It took a while because the functionality has to handle a generic number of plugin modules to allow source data addons to callback Routes on a node addition/deletion.
We're still tweaking and adding stuff, such as only showing the tracking circle when actually tracking something, etc.

Nice though :)
Lightheaded + TomTom will give you the quest parts, add Gather + routes + mapster and you have it all
Another deDE Update, everything should be translated now.
I would suggest to change texts like L["Auto import complete for addon "]
to L["Auto import complete for addon %s."] .
This would allow a more natural sentence structure in some languages.

Trying that atm, and it looks very promising. TomTom is nice, and seems to integrate perfectly with nQuestLog as well. Only thing I kinda miss is symbols for my mailboxes. Are there 3rd party addons for that? :)
The Mapster, Routes, GatherMate, TomTom, LightHeaded combo sounds very tempting, but there are 2 things that are show stoppers for me making the switch from Cartographer:
1. No 3D waypoint arrow in TomTom a la Cartographer_Waypoints (I know Cladhaire is planning to add this in the next release)
2. No mailbox, flight master or trainer (to my knowledge) map icons module(s) for Mapster
Hopefully this functionality will soon be added as I would really like to try this out. :)
Blizzard improved/added the track menu to the minimap in 2.2
All players now have a tracking bubble on their minimap. From that menu you can select a specific type of vendor or npc to look for or you can select a specific tracking type if your character has tracking. Yes this means that hunters can take all of those tracking buttons off of their action bars
FYI: Changing the tracking to find the nearest inn master will find you nearby mailboxes because mailboxes 99% of the time are with an inn/inn master
When Tomtom adds a graphical waypoint arrow support, Routes will also add a module for it. :)
Everything is coming along nicely. I have just added Gatherer support for Routes on the branches. I will possibly stick an FAQ on GatherMate itself inside the addon in the config screen, much like the one in Routes.
Just wanted to add some praise. Really good stuff here, thanks a lot.
I'll import my Cartographer data that I've spent some time to perfect the positions from an early wowhead data import. I always pick herbs standing on it so the mark is on spot, not some millimeters off as wowhead data often are. (And yeah, I'm one of those that use align to position my UI and then goes in the mod settings and adjust so frames are on same decimal position. :P )

Thanks <3 I did read the first page about the "limits" it had until it was implemented but I thought it was unrelated to that.. my bad :)
There will never been mailbox, flightmaster or trainer icons in GatherMate. Thre may be some other map mod out there that adds those
Yes, I noticed you had no plans to add those icons to GatherMate based on your comments earlier in this thread about your goals for and naming of this mod. I was simply stating that I would like to see a mod similar to GatherMate created to fill this need that could be plugged into the Mapster, Routes, GatherMate, TomTom, Lightheaded alternative to Cartographer.

Nothing more and nothing less
