I've noticed that GatherMate is not tracking new mining nodes in WoTLK. I see some of the zone data is commented out in the LUA. Is there anything I can do to help with accurate zone dimensions to re-enable the gathering of new nodes yet?
I just got my beta key, so ill double check all entries for zones in the next few days, im in vegas this week for a conference so havet been abl to login yet.
Ive re-generated zone data for nothrend and added it to GatherMate. Please note: new zone data subject to change so you may loose data during the beta while it is regenerate for each patch.
I've added specific code (in constants, display and collector) to ignore the Death Knight starting zone (Scarlet Enclave), because Blizzard translated that map to display Eastern Plaguelands in the dropdowns, causing a reverse translation conflict with the actual zone.
Kagaro, as long as our arbitrarily assigned map zone numbers doesn't change (from zone numbers 66 to 79), nobody should lose data. What we haven't added is the new node names, so while GatherMate will work in WotLK (assuming you downloaded the WotLK version of Ace3 libs), it wouldn't pick up any new nodes/herbs/veins specific to WotLK.
Kagaro, you'll also want to make new icon files for them. :D
I apologize, i my wow kept crashing so i didnt ee the locale error, and just missed it. Thanks Xinhun for adding the base translations. And yeah the zones ID numbers should not change.
However, GatherMate doesn't seem to recognize Rich Cobalt Nodes.

you sure? they show up on mine, same icon as thorium
I was grinding it the other day to prospect on my JC for levelling.
And I just had to look for the empty circles, the thorium icon wasn't filling in for what ever reason.
It was ehm... Ooze covered rich thorium veins in silithus.
In the settings for the profession-specific filters, please add the ability to enter a skill level and have GatherMate automagically turn on and off the right checkboxes. Having many characters low in skill level and being a newbie, I'm having to look up required skill levels of various resources each time I go up five or ten points, then scan through the list of checkboxes for the new items.
A simpler way to do this would be to simply append the required skill to the checkbox name, such as Copper Vein (1).
A ridiculously cool way to do it would be to an an option for Gathermate to auto-check boxes based on that particular character's skill level. That would also be awesome for folks who have two characters with different mining skills, so they wouldn't have to manually check and uncheck boxes when they switch.
Quirk, the problem with that is that you're not always in "leveling mode". You may not want to only show things you can get skill points off of. For example, the herb Golden Sansam is still used in endgame raiding consumables (Elixir of Healing Power), yet is "gray" long before maxing out, as it only requires 260 Herbalism skill to gather. Regarding your mining example, if you have 375 Mining, how often are you really in an area with Copper Veins? Unless your skill level is far below your character's level, you're probably going to be in zones with skill-appropriate gathering nodes most of the time anyway.

Actually, I'm thinking of it the other way around: I'd like GatherMate to not show Iron nodes until my skill is high enough to mine them. I'm happy seeing Copper nodes any time.
Think of it this way: as a new herbalist (and player!), I don't have a clue which nodes to -enable- as I level. Having little skill numbers next to each of the checkboxes would certainly save me frequent trips to Blizzard's guide pages to see what plants to go after, and which to ignore.
Small oddity with gathermate's display (live verison, latest release). For some reason whenever the world map is open (and sometimes when i'm on a taxi), the minimap gathermate textures stop updating until the map is closed, or in the case of the flypoint taxi is opened and closed.
Not really a huge issue, but something that is a small annoyance.

So I assumed that some of the nodes were entered, but not all.
Better yet, adjusting minimap icon size with zoom level would be awesome, but I don't know if it's possible.
Just thought i'd put that out there while it's being revised. xD
