Another problem I noticed with r53: all the windows/trackers are reset once I reload UI. I deleted SavedVars (not a problem since I only have a couple of trackers defined for focus), then I defined a new tracker, reload UI, tracker gone. Window/tracker styles are still there, is just the actual trackers/windows that don't seem to be persistent.

Thanks, this led me to a bug that might be to blame.
Hi ive been using this addon for a couple of months now, im slightly new to it, but ive found extensive use. Im a tank and im using it to track various personal spell/ability effects. That part is working exceptionally well.
My problem, or really, question, is how do i get icons to appear for spells/effects that i dont personally generate?
For example: i like to track Demo shout/roar on my targets (im an asshole about this to our dps warrior), however, while i get the timer and the spiral, i do not get the icon texture. I am able to track the debuff through just knowing where it is on my screen, but i would really love to be able to see the icon as well.
Demo shout isnt the only thing either, i track things like singed (which when i apply singed myself, i get the icon), nether power (jaraxxus) and vindication.
It seems as if the icon texture for the spell or effect will not show up unless it is applied personally by me.
edit: forgot to add that i wasnt able to find a solution, or even mention of this problem anywhere else in this particular thread.

It shouldn't matter who applied the aura -- if Auracle is detecting it and showing the proper colors/timer/spiral, then it should also be getting the correct icon texture from the game API. Whether it shows this texture on the tracker itself depends on your settings, so make sure the "Autoupdate" option is checked in the "Icon" tab of the trackers' settings.

I feel really silly, i took a deeper look at all of my settings and found the problem.
under the "Tracking Styles-->Icon" tab the option "show when others" was unchecked, this obviously wasnt showing the icon when it was not a personally generated effect, and hence, caused my problem. Thx for the help, i really thought it was something else :P
Beta 1.0.1 is now available. The main addition is presets, which are just buttons in the Add Tracker... section that create pre-configured trackers, according to various useful groups.
There are almost definitely some (de)buffs that are missing from their appropriate group, or are in the wrong group, etc, so please have a look at the categories that you know and care about, and make sure all the appropriate things are there.
And a reminder about talents: Auracle does not scan talents, so if a (de)buff only has some effect when talented (lots of Paladin stance-auras are like this, but also Moonkin Faerie Fire, etc), it is impossible for Auracle to know whether the aura it sees was cast by someone with that talent or not. Consequently there is an "Assume talented" checkbox along with the presets, which will either include those talented-only auras in their respective preset groups or not, depending on your preference. Either way Auracle will sometimes be wrong about these auras, so it's a question of which side you want to err on.
With the last two versions, Im getting a whole slew of labels missing (67 LUA errors) from the localization files (PRESETS, STUN, BUFFS_BY_TYPE, etc.). Is there a beta of the localization file I can grab from the repository or are the labels just not complete.

Turns out, I'm a nub and forgot to import them to the WoWAce localization tool. They should be in 1.0.2 (for enUS anyway).
After a break from using the addon for a few months I'm finding the new additions pretty impressive, nice job. What are the chances of adding more units that can be watched?, namely party members (which would be awesome for arenas).

I would like to do this, but doing it in a not-annoying way will take some work. I don't want to simply add all the party and arena unitids, because then you have to create and maintain 4-5 separate windows, one for each such unit, with (presumably) exactly the same trackers, and that would be super annoying. I'd rather have you set up one "prototype" party window (or several, with different visibility options) and then have Auracle use that template for each of the 4 separate party-unit windows.
The best thing is to file a request for this on the ticket tracker, so others can vote on it and it doesn't get lost. :)
Is there a possibility to track 2 Berserking proc in different trackers? I looked in the Combatlog but when Berserking procs of Mainhand and Offhand at the same time, the still have the same Spell ID. They also don't show as stacks, they are displayed as two separate buffs.
I'm having an issue getting Blessing of Protection to show up in my tracker. I know when you hover over the buff itself its called Hand of Protection. Tried using that in my tracker and still a no-go. I've also tried Track Others and Track Mine. Not sure what it could be.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Make sure you have the tracker set to track buffs. By default, new trackers track debuffs, and a tracker cannot track both buffs and debuffs. Also make sure you have the tracker set to monitor the correct unit; by default, new trackers monitor the target unit.

That solved it, the settings are persistent now, thanks!
Faaantastic. :)
Is anyone still having any trouble, or does that cover all the known issues (besides the CC/disembedded thing)?

Downloaded 1.0.2 and it fixed most of the missing labels - 4 were still missing though. Adding the following to enUS.lua solved the problems:
L["OPT_ASSUME_TALENTED"] = "Assume Talented"
L["DESC_OPT_ASSUME_TALENTED"] = "Assume Talented"
L["MOVE_TRACKER_UP"] = "Move Tracker Up"
L["MOVE_TRACKER_DOWN"] = "Move Tracker Down"
No idea if thats what you wanted them to say, but it gets the job done :D
Thanks a ton.
