Just wanted to check in to see if you saw my request from page 4 - being able to see an 18 second countdown every time a CC is up instead of the 'clock' style countdown would be awesome, any interest in implementing this feature?
Nevermind, I just realized the countdown is on by default. Awesome feature, but what I was really hoping for was the number covering the entire button, i.e. OmniCC style. Could you possibly consider making that an option? I'm sure I'm not the only one that would use that.
Yeah, I saw that. If you don't mind some theory, I want to talk about the practical use of this addon. I'm a 2600+ mage, and I love information addons like this one.
I'm in an arena, I want to sheep someone. The reason this addon is useful is that I want to be able to look and determine, VERY quickly, whether or not I should start the cast right away. I may determine that I should use another form of CC (counterspell, deep freeze, etc.), or I may decide to just wait a couple seconds before sheeping if the DR is nearly reset.
Nowhere in that logical process does the diminishing factor matter. I frankly can't see anyone processing that information quickly enough to make it worth worrying about, but I could be wrong. To me, you want to know two quick things: Will it be full duration, and if not, how long until it will be full duration.
Everything else is just a distraction (to me). Looking at the text and having it be a different color makes it harder to get used to looking for the number.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that the nature of this addon is that it is a decision making tool, one that facilitates a decision that has to be made very quickly and easily. The aesthetic should keep in mind that you need to be able to parse all the necessary information at a glance. For me, that pretty much excludes parsing colors, fractions, and the 'wheel' cooldown effect.
Actually I get used to the old look. I didn't matter the "inaccurate" clockwise display. If I really wanted to chain CC, I still could do. In the other hand, knowing if the target is immune (red "0") or will only suffer 1/4-length duration (yellow "1/4") is important to me. I'm playing a restoration druid in 2vs2, so I'm casting Cyclone, that has a 6-second base duration, and I am often busy healing my teammate.
Another feature request if you don't mind: An unobtrusive sound that plays when a DR resets? I personally only use the addon to track Incapacitate (sheep) DR, so it doesn't matter to me if there's one sound per DR type or a different sound for each DR, but being able to choose which sound file plays might be neat.
Similar to the above request, would you be open to enabling the addon to track DR on mobs in addition to players? Faction Champions is one outdated example of where it is useful, but a more recent one would be the Val'kyrs in the Lich King encounter.
Perhaps you only ever intended it to be a PvP addon, but something like this would be useful for PvE too.
