confirmed here, getting aloft errors after updating today... It appears nothing has changed in Aloft, just two of its libraries.

I've been using Aloft for several months with the same settings now, but a couple of days ago, when leveling my WL alt, the cast bars stopped working properly.
When the targeted mob begins a cast, the cast bar pops up, but there bar does not fill and the time text doesn't change either. Once the cast is completed, the bar jumps to what seems like a random amount of completion and stays like that for a while. Sometimes, there's no cast bar at all. Other times, the bar fills in a manner as if it were stuttering (it's completely out of sync, too).
It is the same in PVP as in PVE.
The two attached screenshots were taken 3 seconds apart from each other. You can see the Aloft castbar and also a Quartz bar for reference (which displays correct values by the way).
The third attachment is my Aloft.lua from the SavedVariables directory.
Since I have no clue what might be causing this, I also don't know what other information you might need. Don't hesitate to ask :)
I had this issue a while back; restarting my computer ended up doing the trick (I always log out and put it to sleep usually). You could also try deleting your WoW Cache folder and see if that helps.
Is there any way to have individual dynamic frame position offsets that would allow visible name plates to display in a column format on the side of the screen?
A: In Burning Crusade closed beta, it was possible using the standard blizzard interface options to adjust the nameplate range. At this stage, it is uncertain if this functionality is still available for addons. If anyone can provide more insight on this matter, send me a PM. For the moment, extending the range of nameplates does not seem possible.
some 1 in #wowace irc channel said this will again be possible with 2.4 - is this true? i really miss that feature
I'm posting this simultaneously to both addon's forums as I don't really know which one of the addons needs to implement what for the feature to work.. Also I've picked MRP since I'm using that one myself, but FlagRSP or ImmersionRP should ideally be supported also (and probably will work with the same code, seeing as the already support each other).
Anyway, the request:
As Aloft already modifies the nameplates of characters, it would be a great, great feature if it could add the surname (or both prefix and suffix attributes) to the nameplate that various RP-addons provide.
I'm not a developer, but I know something of programming (not entirely enough to do this on my own). I can also help testing said feature and will provide any help that is in my power to do. contact me via dinie (at) nitesade (dot) net if you need any info / tester / etc.
Is it possible for the addon to show timeleft on selected debuffs?
What I want is to know the timeleft on debuffs such as my Sunder armors or lacerates to closeby targets and not a generic debuff timer list.
It would be very nice if I didn't have to change target but to get the information from nameplates (or I guess mouseover - any hints of an addon that currently does it would be awesome)
I just started to use Aloft, and I love it. But I'm having some bugs (which have just become a lot worse this morning):
WoW Fatal errors. A lot of them. Whenever I turn on name plates with more than ~5 people around me, wow crashes.
The name plates very often do not follow the person. What happens is, when they get into name plate range, a plate appears (with no name) and stays still on the screen. Tapping [nameplate binding] off and on again fixes it, but tapping name plates on and off also causes WoW fatal errors.
[2008/03/16 23:14:08-585-x1]: Aloft-r45867\CoreModules\HealthBar.lua:90: AceEvent-2.0: Cannot trigger event "AceEvent_EventRegistered". "run"'s handler, "true", is not a method or function (boolean).

This appears to be caused by having this in the advanced section under 'Level Text'
I'm having the exact same issue.

Concerned AddOns: Aloft, MRP

Any ideas?
I only use friendly NPC to see/target crowded NPC's and dun want/need em to be as big and detailed as hostile player ones...
the only addon which i have that use Sharedmedialib-1.0 :(
when i fight two or more mobs at once only one of them will still show the mana bar sometimes not my target
is there any way to hide the mana bar for mobs that not have any mana or rage or energy?
thank you
