CastYeller2 allows the player to make chat announces in response to various game events.
For each announce, the player defines :
* the names of spells, items and/or auras to watch,
* the events to watch (triggers),
* where to send the announce (outputs),
* optionally: per event custom announce templates.
Please allow me 4 suggestions/questions to this awesome addon :)
1. How can I include the name of the target of the spell into a custom announcement?
2. Could you add the possibility to announce to a custom chat channel?
3. Could you add the possibility to announce to multiple chat channels at once? For example it could be useful to announce spells like resurrection and guardian spirit to the custom healer channel of the guild and to /raid at the same time.
4. An option to disable announces when in certain zones (e.g. Wintergrasp) would be very useful.

Ok, so some of these things are coming, including some doc.
1. use $TARGET, e.g. "casting a whooping blah on $TARGET" (also works with $SPELL and $RAIDICONTEXTURE)
2. the generic output should allow that,
3. hrm... looks like I'm going to add a custom channel,
4. this is planned.
A potentially terrific upgrade to CastYeller, Adirelle. Superb customization. But...a problem with that. It leans too far in the direction of customization at the expensive of usability.
As it is with r16, it requires a lot of time & work to set up spells you may want to be tracked. And you have to repeat it on each character that has different spells. And then you have to test what you've created to see if they work/are appropriate in a party or raid. Then make your raid wait a few minutes while you replace one spell tell with another ;).
So how about in the future some default messages for default events/spell casts for those that don't want to spend a lot of their limited time setting this up?
I used the original CastYeller for a very long time until it quit working and had pretty much no trouble setting it up at all. This new CastYeller has all the funcitonality I'm looking for plus more but it does not seem to work at all. Obviously it's most likely something small I am doing but what I was wondering is if we can get an example of a properly setup announcement.
The one I have been trying to setup one for Hand of Freedom but I can not get it to annouce anything in Party, Say or Raid Warning. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Now these are all the settings and nothing comes up in chat/raid/party/say/whisper or anything else. If you have a debug command I would be more then happy to do some testing for you.
Firstly, thanks for picking CY up. I see a good addon incoming :)
In castyeller, there was a functionality to announce the reason when a spell fails to cast. I checked the option "Spell failures" but it won't announce when i try to cast it while the ability is on cooldown or my target is out of range / dead, etc...
Also the whisper announce whispers something like "Cast MySpell on PlayerName( )". I think whisper could be better if it's simpler. "Cast MySpell on you!" the word "you" is better than the whole character name when you are whispering that person.
It would also be a nice option if chat outputs could be configurable. what i mean is, if it was possible to announce one ability on "/say" another one only in healers channel and some other ability to be a "/yell". It's global at this time and when i select those, abilities are broadcast to every single one of them.
Hope to see the failure announces soon. GL with the development.
@Requital: you typed "hanf of freedom" in the name list. :p
@Sansei: options to select to which chat an given announce is sent are coming in next beta. The custom chat channel is still defined globally though.
ATM I'm still not satisfied with the configuration panel layout. There is a ton of options and I'm not sure the current layout is the better way to handle them. Does anyone have some advice to enhance it ?
I really like your general design, and i was even thinking about redoing libfail to be more like your mod. its also somewhat like what prat's customfilters module is for chat. Good work, its a clever design.
The onle thing which was immediately apparent when i ran it - was that I didnt want to let people know i was innervating myself - but there didnt appear to be an option.
The event triggers make sense to me - but i dont think they will be as meaninful to other people.
The ideal case would be to take formatted combat log output or resulting cast announces and replace the event named options with the messages they generate.
Make any sense?
Also, most of the time the name of the spell (or a shorter derivative name) is all I need to whisper to someone
e.g. ">> INNERVATED <<"
">> Blessing of Freedom <<" or ">> FREEDOM <<"
rez messages are fine if they all say "Rezzing player/you" and leave out the spell name.
Firstly, some triggers are not related to the combat log (like cooldowns ones) and actually I do not know how to use the same format (though a look at Blizzard code should help me).
And for the very specific message settings, you can define custom message templates.
As for standalone modules, this should not be too difficult to create a LibFail source. I was also considering writing a "ghost: pulse"-like output to show end of cooldowns and debuffs.
The name of the cast from a warlocks summoning stone is "Summoning Stone Effect", Adirelle. However the cast does not show up on other plays like a normal cast would, only when you cast it.
I was trying to set up different outputs for my different polymorph spells. Unfortunately, castyeller seems to only recognize the one polymorph. I was wondering if there was a way via spellID or spell name to set up different announces for the different poly spells.

Default feature for all classes to yell when you are USING the summoning stone provided by a warlock. So that people know who you're trying to summon.

I'd like to localization, personal modification should I use?
Or, localization, may send the file?
They will be included in future packages.
