As a ret paladin, one thing that would make my life a whole lot easier in BGs would be able to configure a blessing as a self buff. For example, if I want to buff myself with BoM and buff all other pallys in the BG with BoK using the automatic buff feature. This way if I die, I can automatically and immediately self buff myself with BoM. So basically, if I have a blessing set in the self buff module, it would override the blessing manager setting for paladins. As as FYI, I run with the single buffs setting in BGs.
I understand there is a lot of bug fixing and such to do after 2.4, however I figured I'd mention this suggestion as well. :) I've only just recently started using ZOMGBuffs, and one thing I noticed is that if I assign myself groups in a raid, it affects both Group and Single-Target buffs. That makes it a little bit annoying to keep Thorns up on tanks outside of my assigned groups, as well as spot buff whoever needs it with Mark of the Wild. Would it be possible to assign groups just for Group spells, and still have auto-buffing with Single Target spells cover the entire raid?
Just a quick note here, I'm running English, and since about yesterday, there seem to be problems. Here's what I know so far:
1) In order to make it realize I'm missing a buff, I have to disable and then re-enable that buff from the list for EVERY person I want to cast it on.
2) If I do the above, I have to do one spell at a time. If I do say Thorns, and Mark only one will be cast and then I have to repeat the enable and disable.
I'll try to do more research, but if you could give me a tip on where to look that would help. Appears to be no errors in BugSack.

Always buff, Singles in BG... Not one single alert for a buff. Not even after I died and rezzed. No errors. r68070.
**edit**
I could target from the timers, but no buffs were offered in the tooltip. The whole thing was... strange. I updated before logging on and everything was quiet... TOO quiet....
Had similar thing on my shammy, no idea what it is. Only happened twice though, not happened again for some time.
Something really weird with new version 68715. Was in a raid tonight with lots of deaths and my buffs were set to all kings. Everytime I died all buffs were reset to might even after deleting all profiles other than kings. And none were set to load anyway. Never seen this before with any other version this was new for me tonight.
thank you very much for the latest fix for the poisons! The error is gone now! :)
However, theres a problem with offhand buffs I've just encountered.
The offhand poison is buffed, but after the first time I enter combat ZOMG wants to rebuff the poison for the offhand. Its ONLY for the offhand. Main hand seems to work just fine.
Seems like the offhand check for buffs is broken somehow. I already have realized some problems with offhand weaponbuffs when the invalid capture index error was still in, so I think its no new problem. Since the error has prevented buffing I couldnt find out more at that time.

That would be a horrid duplication of code. How much harm will it do to buff any local paladins with might... Not much I think. :)

Duplication of code is one thing, and usability is another. :)
I'm not sure I follow what you mean by buff local paladins with BoM. I suspect this may simply be a scenario where I am not using the mod correctly so please elaborate. However, if this means to buff BoM manually, that would defeat much of the purpose of the self buff functionality (at least in my particular scenario).

No, I mean just have paladins set to BOM, and rest to BOK. It's not gonna hurt them to get BOM, and you'll get what you want. There's really no point in having the same stuff in Self buffs to just override a single buff, which will have to do horrid checking to see if blessings module wants to buff other paladins first, even though the self buff module is supposed to fire first. Not gonna happen.
In a raid last night, I was running ZOMG and the other paladins were running PallyPower.
The paladin that assigns our blessings was using PallyPower. I was promoted as well, because I lead our raids, however, and ZOMG kept overwriting the assignments he set up.
Is there a configuration option to avoid that, or can one be added?

Turn off learning, if you manually buff something, by default it will assume that's what you want to do from now on and change your template.
Using auto-generate with 3 paladins in the raid and myself being the ret paladin with imp. BoM, I'm getting assigned to do the mights on the warriors/rogues/hunters, but not on myself or our enhance shaman. Those two BoMights get assigned as exceptions with the rest of their class getting wisdom from one of the holy paladins who happens to have improved wisdom but not improved might. I'm mostly just curious if this is his improved wisdom taking precedence over my improved might in the assignments for these classes?
I've been changing these assignments manually after blessing manager generation to leave myself on the wisdom/mights on pally/shaman since I've not been able to convert our other paladins to ZOMG yet and they aren't very good on keeping up the exception blessing assignments as a result.

To clarify, if I turn off learning, will it forget what it previously learned (one hopes)?
Further, will it cease (without being asked) taking over blessing assignments for all paladins?
I had to disable ZOMGBuffs mid-raid last night and re-install PallyPower. We had all buffs working fine for 2 Kael'thas pulls, and before the third one ZOMG randomly decided to completely change all of the buff assignments.
It had it configured so that paladins (all prot or holy) were getting might, some classes (with 4 paladins int he raid), didn't have kings, etc...pretty bad.
So if I turn off learning will ZOMGBuffs happily accept whatever buff assignments other promoted paladins give it, even with them using PallyPower?

Yes, it's a case if the generator optimizing the buff casting. It'll keep any group buffs where possible, since you were on exceptions your buffs get shunted to a lower priority, with the first priority being to fit around the greater blessings that are assigned.
There could be improvements to how it allocates assignments, but it's insanely complicated if you want it to do everything right. I learnt a lot from writing it, and will no doubt re-do the generator at some point once there's a good and 99% stable version out there that's going to last a few weeks while I work on it.
As for your paladins, doesn't PallyPower auto buff? I was under the assumption it did. Just badger them a lot, name'n'shame when raid leader asks why ppl aren't buffed ;p
To clarify, if I turn off learning, will it forget what it previously learned (one hopes)?
No. It can't guess at what everyone could possibly want to do. I was toying with some 'undo' type thing, but the details are sketchy.

It never takes over. YOU generate the blessings and it sets them, but only when you ask it to do so. After that you're quite free to change them.

I keep getting told this, but it's impossible to track down. I've gone over the code a hundred times, and I just don't see what could cause it.
It's entirely possible that someone accidentally clicked something too. It's possible that there's a fault in ZOMG. But I can't say one way or the other.

Yes
But do take a look at the manager's template again and the generation, it sounds like you played around with it and didn't quite get it, moved some buffs around, and then when it generated things you didn't like, blamed it for messing up (no kings etc) :)
However, I can tell you that I never hit the "Generate" button on the Blessing Manager last night, yet the mod kept changing the assignments of all paladins in the raid.
I also did not have BoM as a higher priority than anything else for paladins, yet it was assigned to be cast on us, but Sanctuary wasn't even being assigned as a 10m version, yet I was definitely classed as a tank under the Paladin section of Blessing Manager (and sanctuary was the highest priority buff or one of the top two at least).
I do, however, find the interface very confusing.
So far as I can tell, the intent of the Blessing Manager is that you can see what assignments are and edit them there for the specific raid you are in. You can open up the config section and specify buff priority (1 being the highest?), which I assume is used when you hit "Generate" only?
Generate rarely does what I think it should based on the priorities I set up, however.
On ZOMG taking over without being asked to...is there some code in there that checks to see if you are an assistant when you zone into a raid zone, and generates assignments at that time? Perhaps some kind of attempt to automatically set things up when a raid is starting that is triggering more often than intended?
If I can narrow down any of the bugs I'll post about it. The mod certainly has potential, and I like that it includes my aura and handles more than paladin buffs, so I really WANT it to work out.

Rolled back to r67884 and it's working fine.
Very good point.

Thanks. Someone left raid when you were in combat. Should be fixed for next push.
