Could you point me to information about 'ace2 profiles'? Because well.. I don't know anything at all about ace, just that most addons I seem to be using are ace2-based addons... :)
If the addon is FuBar savvy, there should be a profile option on the dropdown menu. You can choose a profile and copy from a different profile. Otherwise, there should be a slash command, for each AddOn. /addon-name profile [options]
For example, if you're using Bartender3, you can type /bartender3 profile (*) and you should be able to figure out the rest from there. Of you can right click the FuBar (or Mini-Map) icon for it and select your profile settings from there.
(*You can also use the short form /bar for Bartenderr3).
Quite a few of the things people are wanting right now I've tried at one stage and found that it wont work with the current system. I've got a big rewrite of the layout code planned that will allow me to implement these features. Better compressing, not rearranging sections/items as you sell items, are the main ones. Right now i'm in the middle of a rework of the config system, so issues relating to that such as renaming bags will be taken care of then.
Very much looking forward to this, as the biggest issue I have with Baggins right now is its poor compression of common items and stacking them (ie - I open up my normal bags, and there are stacks of copper ore in an 8-stack, 10-stack, 2-stack - rather just just 2 filled out complete stacks of 10 each). Thanks for the great addon!
Loving Baggins so far- it's really the perfect solution to inventory management!
If I had to nitpick, I'd ask how I could change the section font size and the bag font size, as the former is a little small to read (i'm practically blind), and the latter too big for the fonts I'm using? What lines should I be looking at in the lua file? (I tried looking myself, promise!)
Am using the blizzard skin, if that makes a difference.
First off, thanks to Nargiddley for the great bag mod. As many have already said, its the best out there imnsho.
Now, I apologize if this has been brought up before, but I've searched and found nothing about it, as well as reading nearly all (but admittedly not all) posts in this thread.
Is there a way to hide a section in the All-In-One setup? I don't really need to see my soulbag section as I have the count displayed on Fubar. However, removing the Soulbag category resulted in the shards simply showing up in my "Other" section and the empty slots in my soulbag seemingly being added to that section as well. After reading this post, I understand how the method of item filtering makes this occur, but if I have the count on Fubar, I don't really ever need to see the actual shards or the bag, because the count is all the info I need.
Again, my apologies if this has been asked and answered.
One way to do it at the moment is to create another bag with the Open with all option unchecked, then add shards into a section of this new bag. The bag wont open with the hotkey to toggle all bags but will still 'use' the items keeping them out of the other category
Have a look at the "ItemID" rule type (under category editing); that'll let you stick different pieces of gear in different sections. Just drag the specific piece of gear onto the text entry box, or use an addon like mendeleev to display the item id.
Okay, I tried my best here but still can't get it to work. I created a category named "Healing" where I added "Item IDs" in rules. I dragged some of my healing items into this category.
In "Edit Bags" I added my own "Healing" category under Equipment and as you can see it shows up just without any items.

I'm assuming that you're hiding duplicate items. Try moving the filter up - the first filter that "catches" the item should show it. Or, try excluding your items from any other category that might be catching it. If you choose exclusion, you may need to exclude the items from more than one category.

Whether I'm hiding duplicate items or not it doesn't seem to have any effect. I tried the healing category up making armor and weapons appear below - still no items in healing category.
Strange things happened when I removed the armor category from the armor section and added it to the healing section along with the healing category (It's complicated alright.). Every armor appeared in the healing section naturally but when I took the armor category back again four of my healing items stayed there. Don't know if this makes any sense.
Here's a picture of my current situation: http://lyf.dk/u/baggins2.jpg - and please, do ask if you need any more information. I'd really like to divide my armor up into categories.
EDIT! Items are beginning to understand what I want them to do but I've got no idea why they're suddenly moving like I want them to.

This only happens on one of my characters though, and I've tried the usual deleting saved vars and resetting the profile... I can't think why its happening either, unless its one item in my bags causing an error...
Vrael: That looks correct to me, only thing i can think of is to hit apply on the category editor after making changes to make them show up. This should happen when closing it anyway so I dont think its the problem but worth a shot.
chaya: sounds like it might be related to a specific item but i cant think of a good way to track it down easily. I'll keep an eye out for it.
Waterfall is a gui config lib that i've been writing to use for baggins, its still alpha so unless you want to help test it i'd advise not getting it just yet.
One suggestion I have that I'd like to present is this:
Is it possible to make it so that your created categories are kept between all profiles? It just seems like doubling up the config work to have to create all the categories for trades, etc again every time a new profile is started.
And that's it :P The rest of it works with a charm- I'm utterly thrilled with Baggins. Many thanks!
You can use the Default profile for all your characters, and that's how all my characters have the same categories and bags. Is that what you're looking for?
Nah, because each character will likely have different trade skills, the bags they use will be different. However, it would be nice if the bags they do use could all feed off the same category list/rules.
Hope that clarifies it a bit...it's just a suggestion though, i'm sure there may be reasons why it can't work.

I'm a druid thus giving me a huge number of items, I'd like them to be divided into categories like tank, dps, misc and healing.
I tried with the edit bags and categories but can't find the right way to do it.
Thanks in advance =)
In "Edit Bags" I added my own "Healing" category under Equipment and as you can see it shows up just without any items.
What am I doing wrong?
http://lyf.dk/u/baggins.jpg
The whole control click thing just doesn't seem to be working.
Any ideas what might be causing this?
Edit: Hrm, seems to have solved itself after a relog! Don't mind me :D

some kinda GUI lib I think:
