Okay, I've tried other inventory/bag mods out there but always seemed to be uninstalling them right after because they weren't what I was looking for. Baggins seems to be the mod I've always needed but for one thing. I can't seem to unlock the bag views and the option is grayed out making them unmoveable. I really hope there's a fix for this.
If your layout type is set to "auto", then you cannot lock OR unlock it. Have you set your layout type to "manual"?

* Some means of setting priority on "Hide duplicate items" mode so that multi-matching items fall in the intended section
This is one feature I would definately like to see. The lack of it sorta eliminates why you would categorize certain items to begin with. For example, I have a bunch of sets of gear. Healing Gear, PVP, Fire Resist, Nature Resist, etc. So lets say I create a category for Nature Resist equipement. In my Equipment bag I see all my equipment bunched together (including my Nature Resist gear) and then I see a separate category, containing only my Nature Resist gear. Since there is no need to display Nature Resist in both categories, I click "Hide duplicate items" and Baggins hides the Nature Resist gear that is in the Nature Resist category I just created. Sorta defeating the purpose of the whole thing to begin with.
Baggins filters on a "first come first serve" basis - if it's a more important category, move it up the list - items "fall through" the filters until they are caught. Obviously, bags and sections need to be ordered as well, since they group the categories. It's a very simple and effective means of prioritizing the filters. In other words, you want your Nature Resit gear section/bag before your "Ordinary" gear section/bag.
Quite a few of the things people are wanting right now I've tried at one stage and found that it wont work with the current system. I've got a big rewrite of the layout code planned that will allow me to implement these features. Better compressing, not rearranging sections/items as you sell items, are the main ones. Right now i'm in the middle of a rework of the config system, so issues relating to that such as renaming bags will be taken care of then.

This was the exact behavior I expected, but it must be somewhat buggy cause it's not working as planned then... or maybe I fudged up a tooltip compare string cause the item I was expecting to group with my FR gear was instead grouping with my trinkets.

I can say that it is working for me, and I've tried four or five variations of simply shuffling categories around, tooltip filtering, and creating complex additive rules groups. If there are bugs, I've managed not to stir their nest (so far!)
Since you're working on a re-write Nargiddley, one thing I would like to see is an independent layout for bank windows, if that's possible. I like my bags as bags and my bank a sorted All-In-One window, 10 columns wide while my bags are set to 6.
maybe i can't figure it out, but is there a way to anchor the bag when using the all in one view? i want the bag to always expand up and to the left when i have my bag in the bottom right of my screen, and not change positions.
I just wanted to say, I'm trying Baggins quite recently. In fact, so recent that it's probably about one hour ago. :) So far I have to say I am pretty impressed by the power of this addon. To easily make bags behave 100% as you want. Or almost 100% anyway.
I hope the development goes on strong, would love empty bags not to be shown for example, I see that's planned for the future. Also, maybe in the future the menus could be a bit more user friendly? More easy to handle at least. Not having 2 seperate 'edit bags' and 'edit categories' menus which just stand in the way sometimes. Or at least, have a big red X in the upper right corner so we don't have to scroll down to press the 'close' button. Also, I don't want the blizzard bag skins, but the other skins are having a semi-transparant background that I do not quite like unfortunately. Hopefully such a thing will be customizable in the future as well?
Another feature I'd like is next to the 'shrink width' option of the bags also have the 'increase width' option so all bags have the same width, looks a bit neater IMHO.
I'm quite demanding, ain't I? ;) Anyway, have to say that this is one of the best bag mods so far that I've seen. Not that I've tried many, though, but hey. :)

You've probably got a set of saved variables from an old version when localized strings were still in rules, reloading one of the presets or if that doesnt work nuking the saved variables should fix it
I'm pretty sure that alt-click behaviour isnt standard, unfortunately there arent any other modifier keys to use since bliz does use ctrl and shift.
I discovered that it was KC_Items using the ALT+Right Click. It would have been nice to use KC_Items for searching for gear that I've seen someplace in the game. But, since I also had LootLink installed, I decided to uninstall KC_Items and keep LootLink. I am using PT, PT2, and PT3 and I have the PT2 and PT3 browsers installed, I wonder if that lets me browse for loot like LootLink does. I'll check that out.
Anyway, thank you for listening and replying. I'm still loving Baggins, great AddOn. Without KC_Items, my ALT+RightClick is working great. Unfortunately items that don't exist in PT2 are starting to drive me crazy.
I have 2 questions... Is skinner not supported? I have my UI a certain color and this isn't working with that. Do I need to do something for that or what?
Why does the main bank window show up? When I go to the bank the default bank window opens and so does baggins bank... is this intended?
yeah I noticed that option a little while ago. for the life of me I didn't see it before then.
I added this option some revisions ago and it was mistakely enabled by default, so people didn't noticed it and were complaining about not being able to change their bank bags.
Then I changed it to be disabled by default, now people are annoyed with the bank showing up :)

Still curious about the skinner thing...
I'll take a look on how skinner works and maybe I can try to make a "skinner-hooked" skin.
I like Baggings (I used it to replace vBagnon because it generated a lot of tainting errors and kept filling up Bugsack), but I have a big problem with it.
I am using specialty bags (Mining Sack) on my warrior character, and when I use Baggins to open my bags there is no way to tell which slot belongs to the specialty bag, and as a result I keep receiving those annoying "You cannot put that there" error messages because I cannot pick the right slot. The same goes for the bank slots.
Would it be possible to give specialty bag slots a different color?
I think, what I've done with the soul bags (also a 'specialty' bag), is to give it its own space/section. In my case its own space 'container: soul bag' or something. It should show the contents of that bag, then, including its empty space so you can move the relevant items to *there* instead?
This might be obvious for some but it still eludes me... how do I add my own 'scheme'? There is 'Default', 'All in one' and 'All in one sorted'. I'd like to add my own schemes to this list, is there a way to do this in-game? Saving a profile so to speak?
First off, I absolutely *love* Baggins. I've been using it since it first got announced on IRC.
I do have a couple of quick questions:
1) I have the same problem someone else had with the Argent Dawn trinket showing up as trash. As I understand it you are supposed to alt right click it and assign it to another category to fix this. I tried that...sure enough, I get a dew drop popup menu and I chose Armor (since that's where the rest of my trinkets seem to show up). But when I click on the new category nothing happens. I get the "click" animation, but the menu does not close and the trinket does not get re-assigned. Am I doing something wrong?
2) I previously was using One Bag and decided to go Pure Baggins(tm) last night. I understood Baggins had a bank frame, however, I do not get it when going to the bank. I tried checking "Hide Default Bank Frame" on the menu, and while it does indeed hide the default bank frame, there is no Baggins fram to replace it. Am I missing something?
Thanks for a great mod. I've been looking for this since I started playing. :-)
There isnt currently a way to save a scheme, you can use ace2 profiles to achieve basicly the same thing.
With the AD trinket showing up as trash, you'll have to exclude it from the TrashEquip category to get it to not show up there.
Baggins relys on bags being setup for the bank, since you've been using it that long its possible that you havent loaded one of the built in profiles since bank support was added and dont have any bank bags defined, either create a new bag and check the Bank option and setup categories for teh bank or load one of the built in profiles which all include bank bags.

Why does the main bank window show up? When I go to the bank the default bank window opens and so does baggins bank... is this intended?
Option: Hide Default Bank
Turn it on, then main bank window won't show up. :)
