I actually managed to create the timer allright but keeping it running without getting removed whenever the bars update is another thing :P. My coding is crap however and you post doesn't exactly make me belive much in success so I will probably keep it as is for now and hope that one day you will switch to something like CandyBar and remember my suggestion at that point. (Or rework the code to implement CD's, it shouldn't be impossible with these bars, just a bit cumbersome)
One thing that would make the layout more uniform right now would be the ability to use %d for the remaining duration of the buff/debuff in the bartext.
can someone help me? i dont have any textures and fonts in my ClassTimer.. i have SharedMedia... and PitBull, Quartz etc are using them but for ClassTimer ( and Aloft) i have only Blizzard texture and 4 basic fonts ( arial, morpheus etc ) to choose from... anyone have and idea why?
thx in advance
Not sure if this is the right place to post this -- I'm not a developer, just a user -- but as of the last WoW patch (yesterday) classtimer reports an error: \Classtimer\Classtimer.lua:11:Can't find a library instance of SharedMedia-1.0
I've tried installing SharedMedia from the zip file into the Classtimer lib but that does no good; reinstalled Classtimer with WAU, that does no good. Reinstalled Classtimer from the zip, no good.

Install SharedMediaLib and SharedMedia ... SML makes sure the textures etc get registered so they are available. SharedMedia adds the textures. :) THat's my personal best guess as to what's going wrong.

FYI.
From what you are saying, I would suggest both SharedMediaLib and SharedMedia to be placed in World of warcraft\Interface\AddOns\
From what I understand, this mod is awesome. But it only tracks when CC effects are about to time out if I had it targeted when the effect was cast, eh? I was wondering, and maybe this is out of the scope of the project, but what if it synced with everyone else in the group that was using the mod as well? That way when my mages sheep and my warlocks banish, even though I don't have them targeted when it's done, when I finish with the mob I'm tanking, I could see what's about to break first. Also, even on things like sap and whatnot, it'd be the correct time because the mod would be able to tell if the rogue has imp sap or not. Now, I haven't had a chance to try out the mod in a group setting yet, so maybe it does all this already. But if it doesn't, that'd be something you could work on implementing.

DoTimer used to sync, but I think that functionality was removed. DoTimer used to be one of the top spammers on the addon channel and the reason for frequent disconnects.
Edit: Can't find DoTimer's project homepage, and Curse still lists the communication module. So maybe syncing is still in. Just give DoTimer a try and see for yourself.
Trying to get my totems to show under player buffs, I added their names under extra buffs but don't see timers for them when I drop totems, have I missed a step?

warrior "Taunt" and "Improved Taunt"

@the others; ill add them soon
Hope you dont mind but i have another quick question, how can i get the text "player" and "target" to not show on player and target timer bars?
