Maybe I'm an idiot but how can I get the items to group together in each bag. I've seperated cloth in to its own bag but when you open it they are not grouped with other mats of the same name. Instead they are spread all over which makes it hard to keep track of. Thanks for your help.
Go into edit mode and then assign categories such as cloth, trade goods, ore, quest items etc to each of the section breaks until you have them set/spit up the way you want them to.
I believe i've done that as I have my mining mats in one bag and cloth in another bag by itself. The problem is it does not group the same types of cloth together even if they are in the same bag. ie.. all frostweave in the same column or row as the other stacks. Not spread throughout the bag.
How are you having AI sort/arrange the items in the bag? There's a menu for this in the options, though I can't remember the name atm. You can sort by name, type, quality, etc.

Go into Config (not just config mode, but the separate window accessed by right clicking on the large bag in left corner), then look for Controls and in that Sorting. Check the box so it's not sorting by bag but by a defined list and then sort the list on that screen. If you have it set to sort by item level, item quality, type and subtype, catagory, name, then you should see everything sorted properly.
Is there a way to use rules when searching through all toons? i.e., i would like to see all the non soulbound gear on all my toons (either in their inventories or banks). thx.
I have been trying to figure out the function to group up item sets. I will take the Moonglade Raiment for example. I have been trying to figure out how to use tooltip( %sset: ) with it, but nothing I am doing is working. Can anyone help?
Otaku, it should work for things like Moonglade Raiment. I'd probably set it up as tooltip( %(%d%)%sSet%: )
That should match anything of the format "(#) Set:" (ie, "(2) Set:").
I am trying to find a way to show all new things in my bags. Be it new since this login or new in the last hour or two. Can I do this with rules if so can you show me how? I have been looking but really have not found how to do this.

i havent been able to find a decent way to do item dating so its not in there any more (although there may be leftover bits still visible that i forgot to clean up)
Noticed lately that this addon is now using close to 7meg of memory, which seems awfully high for whats basically a bag addon ...
Any idea on how to reduce this a little ?
mine uses anywhere from 5-20mb, i dont ever worry about it. if youre running that low on memory you'll have other issues with the game.
you can probably configure it to not store the data so that when you swap toons it only has data for that toon - but that sort of defeats some of its purpose.
you can also change the refresh to manual so that it doesnt churn through memory evey time you open the bag window.
Still having some problems, that have been there for a while now:
Sometimes I log into the game and the whole bag seems to be disabled (all slots show icons but are darker than usual and items can't be moved. Relog helps...
Sometimes the items stick to a slot. When trying to drag and drop them I can hear the dragging "plop" sound but the icon stays in the slot...
Are these known problems or is there something wrong with my game instance?
Why are all the items are greyed out (actually whatever colour you've selected for your background)
There's a bug in the Blizzard CreateFrame API that's causing the FrameLevel for some of the elements to wrap around once they reach a certain level and they end up below the backgrounds level.
To fix it open the AI Configuration, on the System page (near the bottom) are a list of workarounds. Find the FrameLevel workaround and enable it.
If you don't want to enable the fix (which is graphically intensive as it has to reset the FrameLevel of all the AI elements every time they hit a certain level) you can reload the UI to see if that fixes it (it'll only be temporary though, it'll happen again)

as already posted above but i actually changed it to be enabled by default a couple of releases ago because people just dont read - it shouldnt happen any more, youll just a get a spike as it redoes the layers for every element in the mod
Thanks for the update last night, I was feeling rather lost trying to find items within my default bags or then load up other bag addons that do not have item sorting of any kind.
Getting massive taint issues with ArkInv 3.02.26 lately. Here are some of the entries in the 9000+ line taint.log. The tainting only appears to occur while in a raid, not solo or party. Disabling ArkInv and then being in a raid causes 0 taint entries to appear.
Any ideas?
