No. Cowtip has never been on my system. It worked correctly, AI was updated on my system (tekKompare was not), then it didn't work correctly. That's all the info I have for now, as I haven't had a chance to troubleshoot further. For the meantime, I just disabled tekKompare, which removed the issue for me.
After this, mousing over any other equipable or consumable item would continue to always show both comparison tips, whether they were blank or not, depending on the item you were hovering over.
i dont think its ai doing it as i dont bring up the comparison tooltips (i leave that to the base ui, so i also dont hide them), i just modify them if they get shown or change.
OK, kind of suspected that may be the case, but just thought I'd follow up on Barret7sc's post since I started seeing the same thing.
Come to think of it, I did the update before logging in to 3.0.3 after patching, which seems to be when I first noticed it... Perhaps some change in the patch, or something else I that was updated in that pass that I'm forgetting.
Hellio.
Sorry if my question have been asked before. (certainly when we see the size of the thread before this version)
In french, there's an argument whish put me down a problem.
"tenu(e) en main gauche"
I don't know how to insert the parenthesis in my rules..
Is there a solution ?
NOTE:
the rules in question is:
tooltip( tenu(e) en main gauche)
of course, it doesn't work.
I've noticed the last couple of times I've updated that any custom settings, whether that's switching an item from Soulbound to a preset or custom catagory, reset to their defaults after updating. I'm not deleting any saved variables, so why aren't the settings saving between updates?
What priority can I set for rules to make them come after the predefined rules?
ex:
I currently have a tab (#6) that includes items with "defensive rating", and a tab (#2) with the default of "System -> Trash" and "System -> Equipment -> Not Soulbound". When I loot a green boe defensive rating item, which I'd normally vendor, DE, or AH, I'd like it to go to the tab 2 instead of tab 6. How can I accomplish this?

because theyre beta versions and the custom category conversion code screwed up in 3.02.01 and only got fixed in 3.02.04, revert to a savedvariables file pre 3.02.01 or manually fix the entries by hand, they should be in the format item:<itemid>:<soulbound>

it should work like that, rules go before default categories, so unless you actually assigned a system category (whoc go before rules) to an item it using its default and getting caught by your rule.
I'm getting blank tooltip windows that show up at random. It seems to be a problem between AI and tekCompare.
ok, figured this out, comparing items can fail, it sets the tooltip but never *shows* it if it fails, every other tooltip function automatically shows the tooltip and i had my stuff coded such that if you set a tooltip it would add the extra stuff and show it - thats why youre getting blank tooltips.
might be a stupid post, have messed around with it, thought id ask here anyway. is it possible to make categorys for say, pve-dps, pvp-dps, tank gear, healing gear. thats mainly what id use arkinventory for, so that i can easly check if i should roll on gear, or DE, etc. To know 4 sets of gear, or well atleast 3, at all times is a pain. Also if this addon cannot do this, does anyone know of one that can?, cheers.

While Rating Buster doesn't specifically say a piece of gear is pvp or pve it has helped me learn and see the differences very easily. So as long as you know the basics to start, RB can help identify them on the fly. :)
Since version 3 I've been having a really strange problem with items not being displayed. For example, ArkInventory currently does not show my "Pungent Seal Whey" at all. I've also experienced that it showed one stack of Adamantite Shell Machine although I had 3 stacks. Yesterday I got a gem from a party member and it just disappeared!
Now the funny thing is that when I switch to "Edit mode" everything works as it should and the items are shown correctly. They are sorted in the correct bars and everything seems fine. But when I switch back to normal mode they are gone. And the quick search cannot find the hidden items either.
This is a seriously weird problem and I'm not sure what's causing it.
I've tried creating a completely new profile with no changes at all to the settings but the same thing happens. Items are not shown.
Any help is appreciated because I really like ArkInventory and want to use it! :)
i have a temp solotion, wich is almost equally fast, in sanity2 there was a category type that sorted all equip bank bags and wearing per slot. so prob solved =)

Check your bag display...when AI upgraded a couple weeks ago, one of my bags set itself to not display. It's trivial to just re-enable displaying of the bag.
I'm at the point now that all my categories are extending the screen to be too large vertically and need to expand it out horizontally.
I've tried changing the scale, the width, and the number of bars per line to different settings and nothing changes whatsoever.
I'd also like to see it not grow vertically at all when you go into edit mode. It has a nasty habit of doing that, and pushing the top bar to the top of the screen, underneath fubar/titan/etc making the micro buttons non-clickable.
Can I suggest you make the auto-growth horizontal on edit?
I also cannot get the search bar to shut off. It really doesn't do me any good unless/until it can search all my toons for an item rather than just the current one....but I can't get rid of it, and this extends the vertical issue I have by taking up yet more space.
I cannot seem to get the window to widen anymore.
I'm at the point now that all my categories are extending the screen to be too large vertically and need to expand it out horizontally.
I scaled down the window and reduced the padding between both the bars and buttons. Might help keep it more managable.

There's a search function you can bind to a key that works across all toons! (Check keybindings)
The search function on the frame is also useful in those rare times something is sorted to an unexpected place, but it's more of a Filter than a Search.

<soulbound> is either 0 or 1 for an item

it'll be fixed in the next version

that's all reduced to minimum already....and I have trouble getting those settings to apply as well.
