Are you running FuBar or anything Broker2FuBar? If so, then you should take a look at the FuBar section of the EggTimer settings and see if there's a minimap button setting there.
I recently did a configuration overhaul of my other addon: SavedInstances. When I did that I realised that the FuBar stuff is really much more complicated than it was worth (considering there are solutions for FuBar users to display DataBroker addons) so I ended up cutting FuBar support there. I'm thinking about doing that with EggTimer too.
I've been fairly busy with assignments and homework, but during the mid-year break I'll try to push out a new version with some badly needed polish.
No not running fubar. I have Sexymap. a few others that thats the only one that changes the way the defaults look
Thanks for heads up. I think this was reported an embarassingly long time ago. I promise I'll push out a much improved version in a few weeks time. I'm buried under an avalanche of homework and assignments just now. :(
ROFL, good point! I'll try to push through an update over the next day or so.
Thanks heaps, Phanx. If anyone can think of anything else, please let me know. I'll probably not be adding non-unique and/or holiday items to the DB, but I might if you can convince me. :)
EDIT: The Disgusting Jar is now detected in v0.2.1, with the option of a Calendar Event just like the Mysterious Egg. LibBars display hopefully coming soon.
You should add the monthly cooldown for the Consortium gems in Nagrand (fly out to Aeris Landing and see Gehze) as well because it was something I always wanted someone to write and this mod would do it fine. Questlink below.
I've just gone and filed a whole bunch of tickets. Go take a look at them, vote either way on them (especially that FuBar one), and make comments (especially the ones that are "Waiting"). Once my homework, assignments and exams are out of the way, we should be seeing some work done on this.

I'm not sure that's actually a cooldown in the strictest sense. It's really more of a monthly spawn. When you loot a bag, you aren't prevented from getting another one for a fixed period of time (eg 30 days). Rather, a new bag is available at the beginning of every month, regardless of what time of the month you got the last one. Still, this would be a nice addon to put in this optional feature. I'll make a ticket for it.
Okay, so after a very long time without updates or fixes, I've gone and released a few beta versions.
FuBar is out. The FuBar parts of my addon were always hacked in, and it was an increasingly heavy burden to get it working. It's so very easy for people to run Broker2FuBar, or just plain get with the times and use a Broker display addon.
That silly bug with one expiry wiping too much information from the DB should be fixed now. I'm a few days away from being able to verify this with my own 2 toons, yay!
The saved variables file format has changed significantly, so your current information will be lost. That said, this new format is very easily upgradable, and I don't foresee losing your data again. At least not for a very long time.
I'm tinkering with getting Consortium stuff working at the moment, but I'm running into a very strange bug with it. It isn't harmful or anything, but we might not see this feature working in the next "Release" version.
The Darkmoon Faire frog will be next on the list, as well as adding a few tradeskills perhaps. These features are very easy to add in now, I just need to set aside the time. The format shift has made new features a much smaller headache than they used to be.
I've release v0.4 "Release". There are still a few minor issues, but I felt very strongly that there had been far too much time since my last "Release" and that it was very important that everyone have access to the improved item handling code. Expiries no longer cause other (non-expired) items to be forgotten and the addon is just generally better.
Unless of course you are a die-hard FuBar user, in which case I apologise.
As usual, let me know either through these forums or via tickets if there are any issues.
I just got this error when I logged in and my egg had just hatched:

Thanks for reporting it. I'm having that happen now too, but it doesn't happen all the time, just for certain types of items. I'm narrowing it down and will hopefully have a fixed release out soon. For the time being it doesn't appear to be a bad error, just a mildly annoying but harmless one.
I play on two computers. I Might buy a egg on PC1 one day and PC2 the next day. Since I have 6 eggs cooking at all times it is hard to keep track of. Is there something you can do to make egg timer look at the calendar to update the egg info on the mini map if I already have a egg thats not already on the list.
That's not such a bad idea. However, once Curse Client 4 comes out we'll all benefit from sharing our UI setups across all the computers we use (optionally). I'll definitely look into it. Working with the Blizzard Calendar was quite tricky last time I looked so I can't make any promises.
Well, it's been a long time since you guys had an update. I've actually stopped playing WoW some time ago. While I thoroughly enjoyed the game, and I miss the folks I used to group with, I am also enjoying real-life and at this stage I am fairly confident that I won't be back for Cataclysm.
What this means is that EggTimer is looking for a new owner. The code is very ugly, and there's definitely tonnes of room for optimization (particularly with my unnecessary use of temporary tables). There might be a few WoW4-compliance issues when that hits your Patch Downloaders too.
I know that starting a project from scratch is much easier than maintaining an old one, but if you are still playing WoW, really like this addon, and don't want it to become "abandoned", then please let me know. It's been a pleasure.
