Since the removal of SharedMedia-1.0, fonts from the ClearFont2_FontPack aren't showing up for the latest Parrot 1.0 hack. Is there any way to remedy this? I have to stick with an older version with SharedMedia-1.0 for now.
EDIT: Oops, I read the changelog more closely and noticed 1.0 is an optdep. Solved the problem.
I'm having a similar problem; my Quartz and SCT no longer have access to the CF fonts, as they use LibSharedMedia-2.0 while CF now has LibSharedMedia-3.0 . I'm not very savvy with libs and the like, so how would I remedy this?
*sigh* It's a shame that the SML support was removed... Now half of my fonts are "default" and cannot be changed unless I revert versions, and I hate having outdated mods.

How would I revert to the previous version of CF2?

SharedMediaLib-1.0 support was NOT removed. I just stopped embedding it, as LibSharedMedia-3.0 was also embedded.
ClearFont2 has SharedMediaLib-1.0, LibSharedMedia-2.0, LibSharedMedia-3.0 and SharedMedia as optional dependencies. Only LibSharedMedia-3.0 is embedded.
If you have any of the shared media libs or shared media installed, ClearFont2 will wait for them to load, then use those fonts. Sylvanaar made this change in r67439, on April fool's day.
If you really feel the need for SML-1.0 or LSM-2.0, just install the library.
Is it possible that this latest update would not allow for any tags on NPCs or any characters in Azeroth to not have their names above them. I have reset the UI and checked the interface options, but I am not seeing any floating title bars at all?
What else could it be. I ask here only because I just received the newest version of CF recently and that is when it stopped working?

Thank you. I had SML 1.0 installed, but for some reason, the fonts didn't take up until I cleaned out my sv's then relaunched. Hence my misunderstanding as it was acting, on mine, as though support was removed, not just the embeds.
And in order to change ALL the fonts to the same thing, it *is* required to have it installed. Without it, you can't change FuBar or nQuestLog fonts, or even the default blizzard message fonts that flash onscreen, like zone names as you enter them, blizzard error messages, etc.

I can replicate your problem with the nameplates, if I use embedded libraries.
This was bad SE on my part... I should have tested with embedded AND external libraries.
Fix incoming...
Note that I cannot help you with FuBar, nQuestLog etc - those addons need to enable their own font changing support. The recommended alternative is the infamous "step two": replace the ingame fonts with the font of your choice. See here for details: http://www.clearfont.co.uk/readme.html#Install

That is not correct Khanon. I did more testing today - I installed embedded libraries versions ClearFont2 r69576, nQuestLog r68363 and FuBar r65601. All of the fonts are set as per ClearFont2 settings, and not one of those addons uses SML-1.0.

The names above NPC/PC heads don't work, though, and seem to have been broken for a while. I've tested back to r60008 and they aren't working in any of the versions.
UNIT_NAME_FONT = NORMAL_TEXT_FONT
is being called but it doesn't seem to be functional.
I'm having a quick look at it now, but I'm happy enough with "step two" so I'm not going to spend much time on it.
If anyone is still having a problem, please provide the following information so that I can replicate:
ClearFont2 version
Version of all other addons installed
External or embedded libraries
Whether you have done "step two" and installed a Fonts folder in the WoW root
Operating system - Win, OSX or Linux
If you didn't clean the SV files before replicating, please attach the SV files from ClearFont2 and the AddOn affected
Also whether or not you are using a font pack, as it was noted a page or two or three ( ;) ) back that using a font pack will keep shared media fonts from being inserted into CF2's table of selectable fonts.

I have no idea which revision I'm using (I stopped downloading CF2 updates some 6 months ago, and have only made manual changes like converting to LSM-3.0, since I've added some custom fonts and don't want to be bothered with creating a font pack and downloading all the "default" fonts I don't use), but unit names in the 3D world are correctly rendered in the font I choose through CF2, and I don't use "Step 2". I can send you the code of the version I'm using if you'd like.
So after further testing, it is not another mod causing this. I can get this behaviour with nothing but Clearfont enabled.
What's happening is font size related. Working from a fresh chat-cache.txt file and nothing but clearfont enabled, everything is fine. Now right click the chat window tab, choose font size, change the font size.
Do a /reloadui and the chat windows all go back to default font style. If you have the chat windows fonts size left alone to default (set to zero in the chat-cache.txt file) and change the font scaling thru Clearfont, your font does not break after a /reloadui.
The obvious problem of course is that the default font size is far to huge in my chat boxes, but I don't want to scale down my font size everywhere in the game which is what happens if you use the clearfont scaling.
tekkub, is there a better way than the brute-force method I posted on page 39?
Nope, that's basically it. The issue is that the way the chatframes are handled, they become detached from the FontObject and don't inherit it's changes. I wish blue would change them around so that you could change the font size dynamically without detaching from the FontObject.
CF2 + no font packs + step 2 = default fonts for unit names, zone text, chat log (prat), and some addons (ones that use LSM3?). Reverting to 67493.2 works.
This may be a stupid newbie question but I can't find any guide on how to download an earlier version of an addon. Is there a link that someone could give to version 67493.2?

What chat addons are you using? Prat? Chatter?
Yes, I've told Kirk how to fix it.
