for what its worth, my version is still working perfectly and I am using cow tip and such... I dont know why mine would work and your guys not

For me it works with items in my bags but not with items I am wearing (character info)

works for me for items in my back, on my character, ah, trade all that jazz

StatStain works fine for what it's supposed to do (stain stats) but it is duplicating the tooltip info for Feed-O-Matic and MobInfo2, and more according to other reports. It's that that I want fixed. When I turn off StatStain, those tooltips are no longer duplicated so there must be some sort of conflict.

What version are you running for statstain? honestly I am running mob info 2 and I dont see any duplication

66237.2. I update addOns almost daily and I just re-enabled StatStain to see if the problem persisted and it does. Feed-O-Matic and MobInfo2 tooltip info is displayed twice with StatStain enabled.

I will check mine when I get home, my version is a really old version I think. I dont update a addon unless its broken or there is a new feature I want. I find it save me a little hassle.

np mate, I also have to work on my rc car today to before it rains lol anyway personally if I were you since your UI is set up I would just not use wow updater. Just download the files from the beta files page or with a svn client on a per need basis. To many issues with trojans now in the adds. Not really Ace fault its just sneaky viruses these days.

Necro bump... The duplication problem still exists with modificated tooltip by addons - currently I have this problem with Fizzwidget's DisenchantPredictor. It is StatStain's Ace3 version's problem, since I didn't have it with the old Ace2 version.

I get this as well. It doesn't duplicate my SellFish info, but it definitely dupes SmoothQuest and Bagnon_Tooltip entries.

I'm just dealing with it because I can't go back to having all the info white in the tooltips. StatStain makes them so much easier to read, especially at a glance. Hopefully someone can take a peek and figure out what the problem is. :)

Has anyone found a replacement to this addon? I can't live with the info duplication anymore.

Just to point it out, this will break a few mods, as the only way to know if something like a socketBonus is active without unneeded overhead, is to check its tooltip color.
