No plan to add back the ability to use partial sets? I got 6 pieces of pvp gear that I equip on top of my tanking or dps gear depending on situation. I used to have a pvp-set with only those slots active.
Im going to chime in on the side of "I dont care for the switch to Blizzard's EM back end." In theory I have no problem with reusing code, as long as you dont lose features. However the lack of partial sets really cripples CG and makes it essentially a EM Broker add on that adds nothing other than an LDB icon.
Most, if not all of my sets are partials - I switch regularly between Arms and Prot on my warrior, and I dont like to have the weapon/offhand included.
If by "partial set", you mean a set without all the slots active, then it's a feature of EquipmentManager. Just use the flyout while creating your set to disable the slot you don't want to change. The flyout appears by pressing ALT while hovering over an item slot in the character frame.
Partial sets apear to work fine with me using the flyout and ignore slot option. What I really miss is the tooltip reporting of what sets an equipment piece is a part of...
There are 2 extra icons on the flyout - one for an empty slot, one for ignoring the slot. To create a partial set, choose the one to ignore the slot (it's a circle with a line through it).
Thank you, Jerry, for posting that. I completely missed those options when I looked at it last night.
Damn, used r604, updated to r607 and got the ignore slot function. Anyway. The new method of selecting ignored slots and icons is far less convenient than old one.
Well, and yes, fot creating set i first need to open character window, than EM manager window. Damn
Old ClosetGnome was soooo good at this. Better than any other equipment addon.
And i miss ClosetGnome_Banker Flush and Get function. Now i need to put my sets to bank manually Arrrgh.
Don't get me wrong, but i don't see the point why this great job should be abandoned and replaced with LDB-launcher for built-in Blizzard solution. The point it is buit in isn't enough when the other solution is better or provides more functions
The option, the flyout, and the equipment manager are part of the default UI.
You must have the Equipment Manager frame opened to see the ignore icon in the flyout.
The problem with the Blizzard partial sets is that everytime I try to add a new piece to the set I have to remark every single slot that I want it to ignore :( .

That doesn't solve Tunga's problem. You still have to define which slots to ignore slot by slot by slot... which is the really annoying part of the new EQM.
And tbh I have no idea why they implemented such a stupid way of toggling item ignore, the way CG did it is possible and WAY more uerfriendly...
I think the Tek's update set is an answer, but I know I would feel better if I could see the currently active sets ignore option overlays when the EM flyout is open. It seems the only time they are visible is when they are first selected, close the EM flyout window and they go away.

Update to latest version.
No.

This has nothing to do with ClosetGnome.
Blizzard manager did it, not ClosetGnome.
Try
