3. Downgrade to an older ClosetGnome that still has the FuBar display.
4. Wait until later this weekend when I fix CG.
i downgraded and it seems to be working, looking forward to an update.
one other thing that i never reported before - when changing an item in a set, but you have the old item from that slot in your bag.. it always reequips that item when i try to modify the set (i have to redo the set with my bag open). i can't imagine this is intended functionality, right?

CG has always done that, in my experience. When you go to edit a set, it equips it first.
Couple ideas, when you right click the Broker button for your sets, can that trigger hiding the other tooltip (the mouseover/instructions how to make sets)? Know it's still early for the new version, but for _Mount and maybe other sets, the ability to enable/disable?
When I try to establish a new set i get this error:

Edit says: Well, reinstalling the addon fixed it... Never mind.
I did this...I can remove the icon...but can't get it in fubar. I tried looking in add on options...there is the tick to remove the icon...but nothing for fubar...

ClosetGnome doesn't support FuBar anymore. You should use Broker2FuBar if you want it on your FuBar.
Does ClosetGnome require a broker addon to function?
There is no section in my keybindings for ClosetGnome. There appear to be no slash commands. The only options in the in-game interface addons panel are "Always equip weapons" and "Quips".

*edit* That is, if you use FuBar. ;)
Go to the Blizz options... ClosetGnome... profit
About the empty slots not being recognized (turned to "Red" automatically when saving the set).
This. My vanity set won't work, and we can't be having that.
Last build of CG is installed!

Using version r570 from Curse.
And no, it doesn't require a LDB display addon.
Link?
Thank you ;)
Clicking the "+" sign results in sub menus with no options. Here are some screenshots:
