Ok, it does work now, except it doesn't change arrow types (minor problem i can live with). Can't believe that i didn't notice that change before, i only created 2 sets with the only difference being the arrow types (farming/pve), so that's why nothing happened. Sorry for all this confusion.
I installed Broker2Fubar and it showed up on Fubar (i know there were no sets, I was working from a fresh install and a completely clean wtf folder) however when I rightclick Closetgnome it opens up the broker2fubar menu and not the Closetgnome menu
I know, that's a FuBar problem, there's nothing I can do about it.
Note that you can still run the old Ace2 version of ClosetGnome and that the new (Ace3) one is still in development and the UI (i.e. the LDB plugin and such) are NOT final yet, so I'd rather you kept the complaints to a minimum.
Got the new CG version, very nice. Having issues swaping trinkets in while making new sets (only want to change to the first slot) and can't drag/drop, but I can get around that right now.
And CG_Switcher, Mount, and Banker all don't seem to want to work in 3.0 which I'm sure you're away of :).
Got Broker2FuBar but as chiefcastor said I cant change sets.
I am still trying to work around this too. Right now it looks like you have to options: replace fubar with a LDB display (or have both) or find a replacement for closetgnome.

I am still not sure what I am gonna do.
My suggestion is using Barrel; it will create a minimap button for your LDB-plugins ;)
When trying to add a new set, I get the following error:
["message"] = "Interface\\AddOns\\ClosetGnome\\ClosetGnome.lua:632: bad argument #1 to 'pairs' (table expected, got nil)"
["stack"] = "[C]: ?

Yes, that's all-but-unformatted straight from the !Swatter savedvariable... sue me; I'm just ssh'ing in. ;)

Do you have Broker2FuBar (if you are using FuBar) or any Broker-display?
Broker2FuBar will let you add sets but you cannot change them using it.

3. Downgrade to an older ClosetGnome that still has the FuBar display.
4. Wait until later this weekend when I fix CG.
i'm waiting ^^
Awesome! Thanks for the info.
Just to clarify, what exactly is the fix going to do?
Edit: I ask because I was under the impression that the broker2fubar no right clicks issue was a fubar issue.
