It would seem that Closet Gnome uses the full item link while ItemRack only used the base item ID. The advantage of using the full link is that you can differentiate between items that differ only in their enchants (Rogues swapping out identical daggers with different poisons on them, for example).
Also it avoids problems such as with the Warblades of Hakkari - both the offhand and the main hand weapon they have the same name but are only able to be equipped in one of the weapon slots.
Is it at all possible to get Closet Gnome to recognize when an item has been updated by re-gemming or a new enchant? Itemrack used to handle that on its own somehow, if I added an item to a set and then later put an enchant on it, I did not have to edit the set again to include the item. Closet Gnome though treats it like its a totally different item.
Yup. While not an app killer, it is annoying to enchant or gem something and then have to edit the set to get CG to recognize the change.
Not specifically related to ClosetGnome, but is there any chance of getting support added to ClosetGnome_Mount for Crusader Aura? Like auto switching the aura when you mount and switching back to your old aura on dismount?
I know there are macros for it but they all require two button presses since Summon Charger and aura switching both use the global cooldown.
i'm having a weird thing happen where if i use the fubar plugin to edit my gear sets, i occasionally get one of my trinkets left on the end of my cursor (the one being replaced). this is when i shift-click to edit a set and it's a recent thing.
I did a search on the forums but didn't come up with any results, so hopefully this hasn't been covered.
I've been using Closetgnome for awhile now, and I like it for the most part (picked it up since Itemrack really wasn't supported anymore.)
The only thing that's killing me lately is occasionally I get a bug where in an arena I'll switch to defensive stance if I'm getting focused. Of course I have an auto switch set to go to my 1h/shield in defensive stance. This works great. However, occasionally when I come back *out* of my stance to battle/zerker (usually zerker) it should switch back to my 2h'er. However, approximately ~10-20% of the time, it just takes OFF my 1h weapon and leaves my shield on. So I'm running around punching people in an arena. I've learned to live with it by dragging an icon of my weapon to a bar I can click quickly, but it's very troublesome, to say the least. We were 12 points away from 2k and I ran into this bug, that very well may have cost us the match. :\
I was wondering if there was a way ClosetGnome could deal with Unique-Equip gems. In previous patches, it wasn't such an issue since I could just trigger the same set twice and I'd be fine. However, with the most recent patch, when I try to do this, my second piece with the same unique-equip gem in it gets "lost." It gets grayed out in my bag space and I cannot do anything with it (move it in bags, equip it, etc). Eventually, I am able to start using the item again, but it takes some time (at least 2m). This is a slightly bigger issue so I was wondering if there was a way for ClosetGnome to prevent this situation.
Has anybody found a fix for this behaviour? It is somewhat annoying to change some equipment pieces by hand before using Closetgnome to switch the remaining. /sadpanda
Seems to be an issue with ClosetGnome_Fishing throwing the error Invalid inventory slot in GetInventorySlotInfo when there is a fishing pole in your inventory. When I remove the fishing pole or disable the fiishing_gnome plugin the error never returns,
Also the zone switching gnome is not updating the mod with the proper zone when ever the zone changes.. closet gnome still shows the zone you logged in on, does not change to the new zone like it is supposed to.

How about having ClosetGnome print different messages when switching a set that only contains weapons? Because some of those references to socks and pockets doesn't make sense when switching only weapons.
