I'm currently an ItemRack 1.9xx user and the event-driven nature of it is not performing as well as it used to (misses mount/dismount swaps frequently). Does ClosetGnome have event-driven swaps similar to the old ItemRack? Does it have a bar that can be displayed? Apologies for the basic questions. Thanks.
I've never experienced CG missing a mount/dismount.
It shows on FuBar, if that's what you mean.
Found the following in my bugsack. No idea how it got there, so sadly, I can't tell you how to reproduce that error. :(
[2007/12/24 01:51:42-931-x1]: ClosetGnome-1.0.56858\ClosetGnome.lua:548: AceHook-2.1: "CharacterFrame_OnHide" already has an active hook from this source.
I'm sorry if this have been discussed in this thread before, I simply don't have the time to read it through. My question is:
I am a fury warrior and i got 3 different Sets, PewPew (DPS), Tonk (Tank set) and Mount. When I equip my DPS set, it'll equip Warden's Hammer (A Mace MH slot) and Grunt's Axe (Onehand, used in OH slot). Then, when I try to equip tank set, and use Grunt's Axe as mainhand and a shield as OH.
My problem is that CG can't equip Grunt's Axe, due to that it is used in OH for DPS set. Is there anyway to fix this?
Thanks in Advance
Erzy
(yet again sorry, if it is written before in this thread)
EDIT: Okay, found GnomeTank's post at the previous page, at how to fix it. I tried to add the code in the bottom of the "ClosetGnome.lua", but didn't work? should I remove the comments maybe? or place the code somewhere else? Would be awsome with a solution
ClosetGnome_Mount equips my Flight Form-Set, even though I told it not to. "Mount -> Flight Form" is set to nothing. Deleting the set helps. Bug or feature?
Just wanted to report a minor (slightly obscure) bug: when going from set 1 to set 2, if you want to keep a trinket that's already equipped, but move it to the other slot, it doesn't move -the other trinket stays there and the one you wanted to keep gets replaced.
set 1 equipped: Trinket A, Trinket B
in bag: Trinket C
set 2 equipped: Trinket B, Trinket C
in bag: Trinket A
when trying to equip set 2, you end up with:
equipped: trinket A, Trinket C
Something happens - if I have my bag open I end up holding the trinket C on the cursor - but it doesn't work. I guess it's failing on the swapping part, and then the trinket you wanted to keep gets replaced.
Aaaanyway - swapping trinket slots is not very important. I just thought I'd report it so next time you're in the code maybe you'll remember. Plus it's always good to know these things, even if it's not worth doing anything about, I think. :)
As ever, heartfelt thanks for the all work that's been done on this wonderful addon.
cheers,
- Fin
PS: in case you were wondering why I would want to do this in the first place - it's because when I need to equip a specific trinket the easiest way is just to right click from my inventory, which swaps it with whatever's in slot A - so I keep this slot as the least useful trinket currently equipped for a particular situation. :)
I've just switched to ClosetGnome from Itemrack after having lost all my sets a second time, and so far I've been very impressed! The only thing I miss is that with the keybindings for different sets in ClosetGnome, the keybinding will equip the set but not, after a second press of the binding, switch back to what I had on before. It's not a big deal though, since the only thing I used this feature of Itemrack for was to switch in and out my spirit weapon for innervate, and ClosetGnome does that automatically now!
Since the last update when i morph to flight form and so equip the set "flight form" closetgnome_switcher unequip all my equipment and equip only the trinket equipped when i have configure this set.
before this update it just equip my flight form trinket in place of the current trinket equipped and all my other stuff stay equipped. Bug or new feature ?
and the option "enabled" in closetgnome_switcher don't work since last update, it is always enabled.
Not sure exactly what happened to make this error pop up. I believe it was thrown while I was spamming a hotkey to switch into my "No Durability" set (I fell off my flying mount, oops), or possibly after dying from that fall and rezzing:

Just make sure you've toggled all the non-swappable items red in the set config screen.
I guess it's possible that the check for it doesn't work 100% now since I haven't coded in any delays for the checks (like waiting for item lock updates), but I haven't had any problems with it myself.
Nope, still gives the queueing warning for the set where I only set main and off-hand to green (I swap in a spirit staff using cg_switcher).
Is it at all possible to get Closet Gnome to recognize when an item has been updated by re-gemming or a new enchant? Itemrack used to handle that on its own somehow, if I added an item to a set and then later put an enchant on it, I did not have to edit the set again to include the item. Closet Gnome though treats it like its a totally different item.
Rabbit, ClosetGnome is a fantastic AddOn, and I (and scores and scores of others) *really* appreciate all the time and effort you put into it. Thank you for all your hard work! It truly boggles the mind the cluelessness and feeling of entitlement so many users seem to have regarding AddOns and their (totally FREE!) development. Guess I'll blame the anonymity of the internet for breeding tough guys who in real life would know better.
ANYway - I originally swung by this thread because I thought ClosetGnome might be switching me out of 'mount' when crossing zones, but I don't see anyone else reporting this so I'll do a little more testing. Might be something else interfering.

It would seem that Closet Gnome uses the full item link while ItemRack only used the base item ID. The advantage of using the full link is that you can differentiate between items that differ only in their enchants (Rogues swapping out identical daggers with different poisons on them, for example).
1. Whenever I create a new set it opens up and leaves my backpack open. Anyway to make it not do this? I use Baggins, haven't used the default bags in like 2 years...
2. Bug: Tank Set Main Hand:Latro's Shifting Sword Off-Hand: Platinum Shield of Valorous
DPS Set Main Hand: Mag'hari Fury Brand Off-Hand:Latro's Shifting Sword
When I switch from Tank Set to DPS Set I get the "Cannot find Latro's Shifting Sword in Inventory" error/message/warning. It's looking for it in my inventory, but the item was actually in my Main Hand when I made the switch.
I'm not quite sure as to whether this has come up or not in the previous posts, but is there any way to have CG_Mount toggle your mount set if you cast a spell which causes you to become dismounted? Right now I either have to right click off my buff, or de-activate my mount from my bags for the switch in sets to occur. I realize for most instant cast hostile/healing spells it's not possible to make the set switch before you're in combat, but for buffs it would be helpful to make the switch when you dismount.

Actually what ItemRack does is uses most of the item ID normally, but if it can't find that item id it will then look for the base item ID. Something similar might be a good solution for ClosetGnome if it doesn't already use that approach. It was one of the things I had to take into account when I wrote an ItemRack <=> ClosetGnome set converter a while back.
In addition to the slight issue posted above, what would be fantastic would be a way to update multiple sets at the same time. ie, I have several sets that all share some common items. I get an ugprade in that slot, or enchant/socket the item differently, I now have to update every one of those sets one at a time. Ideally I could do something like select the slot, and choose "add to sets: " and then check box some set names to update it across all of them.

Previous "Sac" is just the translation of bag but *is not* the value returned by GetItemInfo.
That should (and does here) fix the "can't get naked" issue for frFR clients.
Thanks :)
