All my mods just shit on me it feels like. Prat, pitbull, eepannels, and this are all giving me a hard time.
Do you have the HatTrick mod installed? It seems to interfere with ClosetGnome when showing/hiding cloaks/helms.
After removing HatTrick, the Alt-click solution Cal posted solved the problem and ClosetGnome works fine now (apart from not being able to switch between a 2H item and two seperate handed items, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time...)
When you create a new set after you have set a helm or cloak to hidden, it will show that it is greyed out, however it will not actually be hidden. You must alt click the item twice to "reset" it to normal and then alt click it again to hide. You have to do this for every set, this may be why it seems that the new alt clicking isn't working, but it is.
ClosetGnome?: Toggle showing/hiding helms and backs with alt+click when creating or updating sets. Not thoroughly tested yet.
ClosetGnome is beta. It reminds you *every login*. Don't come bitching, please -- provide me solutions instead.
I'd prefer a simple toggle to disable the helm/cloak show/hide stuff. Allowing me to turn it off and be done with it would make me happy. ClosetGnome is wonderful as an equipment switching mod, but I really don't want it to start doing things outside of it's scope, which for me include overriding my visual settings.

Yeah, but people have been busting my balls for this feature since I uploaded it to the SVN initially, and that's how it works:
Ask for something 1000 times, I'll do something about it.
However, if just a couple more people want it removed, I'll remove it.

Don't remove it chief, I'll figure it out. More features are better than less.
The hint with alt-clicking worked for me. But there seems to be a problem with Arkinventory. Not sure if the gnomes or Arkinv is causing the trouble. But when running closetgnome, I can't acces any items in my bags (using arkinventory). When I disable the gnome, it works *shrugs*

I actually found out much of the frustation seems to come from a bug.
I had ClosetGnome continuously re-disable my headitem, no matter how often I changed it, re-did the set as a whole, or whatever.
Checked the SV-file, found a "true --[1]" line where it saved what is enabled to be hidden. Deleted that, all works ace-ok now.
Switching into a partial set appears to use the show/hide settings of the partial set even if the hat/cloak are not included in the set. For instance, on my druid I have a weapon and relic defined as a set for each of my forms. When I switch from caster into catform, my weapon/relic are swapped in. When I shift back out, my helm is showing.
Also, changing gear feels slower in this version (36750), but it may just be my perception.
Update your sets and Alt+Click your helm and cloak on the sets you don't want them to show.
After making 4 copies of each set, I found a set that didnt reset the helm/cloak - all sets had the items shown in the pale colour.
Then when I saved it as the name I wanted... It went back to resetting...
Can you please revert this change, or make it a togglable option - so if the option is enabled, then it checks the alt+clicked items. If the option is not enabled, it doesnt mess with the settings I have chosen.

I personally like the feature and want it to stay. It works well.
I know I saw it further up in the thread but nothing was said following up on it. It would be really nice to see a ClosetGnome_FlightForm which would switch to the trinket when you switch to flight form. I should probably sit down and try to figure out a way to do this but I am sure they is somebody who can figure it out a lot faster than I can.
Got killed tonight (not playing a hunter), and saw: "...AddOns\ClosetGnome_Switcher\ClosetGnome_Switcher.lua:285: Attempt to call global 'IsFeignDeath' (a nil value)"
My ClosetGnome is at version 36750 and ClosetGnome_Switcher is at v 36504.

Switcher DOES recognize when I shift into the epic FlightForm.
But it does NOT recognize when I get OUT of the epic FlightForm (it does not equip my "Default" Set then, it stays in "FlightForm"-Set).
I have the same problem. It would be awesome if it worked like cg mount, where it just puts back on the set you had before you mounted. I have multiple sets and don't want to set a default for switcher. Honestly I would prefer this functionality go into cg_mount, but maybe that doesnt make sense. Still it is an awesome addon. :-)

I know about mods as far as how to configure and what they do. I don't understand 1 line of the script.

Hugely appreciating your work here, Rabbit.

same here lol - i was going NUTS. I hate having my helm show (gotta have those pink pigtails for the raid to follow me !!! )
Greetings and thanks for this awesome mod though.
I second that! A fix for that would be nice ;)

It's part of ClosetGnome_Switcher at the moment.
