Feature Request!: Since the mod can track quest givers, perhaps hook it into Cartographer and be able to great a waypoint when you're searching to cash in the quest?
Edit: Oh, and loving all the hard work you're putting into this still! Finally replaced my MonkeyQuest =)
I've made addon (currently it is hooks to nQuestLog's ShowQuestToolTip function). It does display comments from wowhead.com for quest. Would it be good to implement it as nQuestLog module ?

Do you have wowhead cached locally or something o.o?

locally :-) in lua it is just big table in form like

Yeah that'd be very cool actually, how big does that local cache of wowhead.com comments get though?

Planning to make clicking on quest giver in the details frame set it as a waypoint.

Per our quick Q/A on irc, the note I promised:
Add ability to sync the quest log and detail frame.
Second, sync the Hide() event for quest frame to also grab the detail frame? Or at least add that option?
Also, had a thought on right-justifying the quest frame: could you make it a Tablet, and use the alignment capabilities there?
First stuff on the todo, about the tablet, dont really know.. It'd be quite a bit of work to redesign it.
Sorry about the lack of updates lately people, been really busy with irl things :/

Hey neuron,
the file size is about 3.5Mb. think it might be possible to load only needed faction ? (like horde or allies on demand ?)
not sure if comments can be "demand" loaded depending on zone.
A couple feature requests, not sure if they've been requested:
- make the highlight a gradient that fades to the right
- an option to hide the levels of quests
- an option to move the current quest that just had an objective item update, to the top
- an option to hide all objectives until an objective item is updated, then show only that quests objectives
edit: another 2 ideas
- have nQuestLog log the number of quests you've completed for each zone, the names of them, and how much money/faction was rewarded... Or just make that idea into a seperate addon that could be an nQuestLog companion, showing available quests and the coords of the quest giver (useful for those random quest givers in a corner of a map)
Would strongly support with these Neebler's comments
- an option to move the current quest that just had an objective item update, to the top
- an option to hide all objectives until an objective item is updated, then show only that quests objectives
I installed nQL yesterday and here what I have to say/request/whatever (of course some stuff might have already been asked, but please see it as a way to emphazise on that specific point ^^)...
My reference is mostly Quest-I-on, so don't be shocked if what I request would make nQL some QIo clone :]
He comes what I require/beg for:
- A keybinding to show/hide the minion;
- A keybinding to lock/unlock the minion, *or* make it so it needs a combination of keys to be moved (maybe like most Ace2 addons: alt+left click);
- A way to really *not* show some quests/zones in the minion: there's already some drop-down menu where we can choose what quest/objectives to show, but it only reduce those under their zones in the minion... I want to be able to hide quests/zones/objectives that I don't care about at any given moment (to provide a living example: I'm leveling in Outland, but I can't hide the quests I still have in Azeroth ?!). That or some keybinding to hide/show reduced zones/quests;
- When enabled, the numbers next to the quest name (sorry for lack of details, I'm not in front of WoW atm) should be a percentage of objectives, not another x/y);
- When showing the quest details (by clicking on the quest name/objectives), show the coordinates of the quest giver, like QuestsFu does;
- QuestsFu reference again: its FuBar plugin shows the number of completed quests along with the number of quests the user has (we don't really need the max number of quests allowed... do we ? ^^);
- Back to Quest-I-on look-alike contest: I really loved the way it lowered it's alpha when its minion was not hovered... it really adds to immersive gaming;
- I don't get the point of that "highlight" feature, so I disabled it. Does it... let's say *blink* on an objective that has been met (like killing a mob), expanding a zone to show the related quest(s), maybe ? If it does not, that would be really neat :]
It's all I can think of for now, but I'll let you know if anything comes to my mind.
Anyway, nice job so far :p
[Edit]
I forgot about the tooltip... the TopLeft and TopRight seem to show in the same place (above the minion), the Left and Right ones are displayed on the *real* top left of right, and the bottom ones are shown on the corners... there's no way to show the tooltip under the minion.
But instead of fiddling with where the tooltips are shown, it would rock to be able to define offsets based on the chosen position (say I want the tooltip on TopRight, but with a Y value of -200 so it can be lower on the screen).
- A keybinding to lock/unlock the minion, *or* make it so it needs a combination of keys to be moved (maybe like most Ace2 addons: alt+left click);
Agreed.

I believe this feature is there if you right-click the minion, but I could be mistaken. =p
- When enabled, the numbers next to the quest name (sorry for lack of details, I'm not in front of WoW atm) should be a percentage of objectives, not another x/y);
They shade from red to green...that should be enough of a percentage.
- When showing the quest details (by clicking on the quest name/objectives), show the coordinates of the quest giver, like QuestsFu does;
This would require extra code...but could potentially hook into Cartographer or something.
- QuestsFu reference again: its FuBar plugin shows the number of completed quests along with the number of quests the user has (we don't really need the max number of quests allowed... do we ? ^^);
I have this turned off, but it would be nice to see at a glance the number of quests completed.

Basically, yeah. It's supposed to call attention to a recently updated quest, whether it's updating the objective, or showing you a new quest. As far as expanding a zone, another feature can auto-expand the zone you're in, and collapse all the others. :)
- A way to really *not* show some quests/zones in the minion: there's already some drop-down menu where we can choose what quest/objectives to show, but it only reduce those under their zones in the minion... That or some keybinding to hide/show reduced zones/quests;
Turn off "show empty zones" and hide all quests for that zone, it'll then be hidden completely in the minion.
- When showing the quest details (by clicking on the quest name/objectives), show the coordinates of the quest giver, like QuestsFu does;
It already does this and has for some time, but it can't know the location of the quest giver if you've just installed it. It'll work on new quests (the exact same way as questsfu does).
- Back to Quest-I-on look-alike contest: I really loved the way it lowered it's alpha when its minion was not hovered... it really adds to immersive gaming;
On my todo list now, but I haven't had much time to work on it lately.
And I switched to using FCT notifications locally, maybe I'll be able to spot the bug where the notifications turns to black, I completely forgot about that, sorry about that guys.

I would love to see this added to the FuBar Tooltip. It would be handy to know when to go turn in or stay out for a bit.
