1 : will happen
2 : will happen
3 : dont know, some people would still want the normal questlog as well. Would you ever end up setting a keybinding for this?
4 : You can, quest header -> show progress or something like that
5 : Yeah, it means an extra set of frames, which is complicated.
Hm, that's the tablet behavior, not entirely sure how to give hints to unlock that though. Maybe make it unlockable in settings?
Cool. What I mean by #3 is have an option in the keybindings interface to bind a key that would show/hide nQL. You don't have to override the other one, or remove it. I know that mods like ArkInventory provide this for bags, and I set their keybinding to 'B' and unbound my key from the Blizz default bags. So you would have:
Loving all the features added to this mod, just fantastic.
One small issue, the notification coloring doesn't stick. It defaults to black, I change it to a different color and a couple seconds later its back to black. It happens whether I set it to show in chat or on screen.
I haven't been able to reproduce this, could you give me a bit more info?
1 : How do you normally announce, through echo/fct/blizzard frame? If FCT do you use the blizzard floating combat text/SCT or MikSBT?
2 : Is the transparancy set for that color?
3 : if you do /rl to reload ui, does the color start working again?
4 : Is the color resetting based on time/does it reset for example after you've gotten an announce once?
5 : After it resets to black, does it show as black in the color setting, or does it look right there?

hi neuron
Module Setting name is needed more localizations.
Ah, I'm gonna add that right now :), thanks a lot for your work so far, I know my locale stuff was quite bad ;)

If that isn't clear, please ask for more clarifying. :) Otherwise, I start digging into nQL for a self-modification.
Just for now if you'd like Silver, you can use this macro:
/script if ntog==1 nQuestLog:ToggleVisible(true) ntog=0 else if ntog==0 nQuestLog:ToggleVisible(false) ntog=1 end
One thing I'd like to request, when you alt+rightclick on the log, could you put in an option to show all zones and hide all zones? That'd be really need for when I want to get an overall look at my quests, or to tidy up my screen space.
Could we get a Wiki page posted with details of nQuestLog (as well as maybe a few screenshots)?
I'm interested in it, but I've been using EQL for a very long time.
I am trying to build the Wiki page, I have started but is still really bleak. If you all want to give some input, I would be greatful. You can find the link here

PS I am just trying to help, I know almost nothing about LUA and I didn't help build this wonderful add-on.

1. I normally set it FCT and use SCT
2. When I click on the Notification setting in the Coloring options, it doesn't have a transparency setting. When I test it and it says "you have completed a fake quest" or if I complete a real quest it is black and very hard to read but I can tell what it is. I tried the announce (in chat) and it immediately goes to black once triggered there also.
3. I tried /rl and it stays black.
4. I set it and see it changed in the coloring settings list, but then when I complete a quest or objective its black again. I then check the coloring settings and sure enough it is back to black.
It stays the color I set it in the color setting until it triggers then its back to black. I can post screenshots if you want or if you need info another way let me know.
Oustanding mod, nice features! Here are a couple of things I noticed:
A typo and a spelling error in the tooltips:
1. Settings -> SmartVisibility -> Auto fold zones (tooltip): "Auto fold zones your not in" should be "Auto fold zones you're not in"
2. Settings -> SmartVisibility -> Auto unfold zones (tooltip): "Auto unfold zones your enter" should be "Auto unfold zones you enter
Also have a couple of questions and features suggestions:
1. What does Minion header color and Minion border color do? I don't see a defined header or border for Minion, and those settings don't appear to affect the quest or tooltip window headers and borders.
2. Could you add an option for Minion to have a title bar of some kind, perhaps with the total number of quests in it? Could be as simple as: nQuestLog 21/25

1 : Removed that now, it no longer exists :P
2 : That's what the header was, but it was so ugly I removed it :P, I should probably readd that though. It's practical for the people using the minimap icon.
I still like to see the multined chat output when posting quest + progression info :)
Additionally a setting to choose the keybindings (I'd like to change from shift-rightclick to ctrl-leftclick) would be very appreciated.
Last thing: Can you implement a max pixel hight? nQuestLog grows upwards and I want to limit it to not grow into my minimap. Of course we'd need a scroll button when the limit is reached and there are more quests tracked :)
Ok, was wondering if you (neuron) could start a new thread for this mod?
That way you could update the initial post with pertinent information about the mod.
Wiki page link
Download link
Version info
Planned features
No possible way features etc.
That way you will have control of the initial post so any new / old users looking for info can hit the first post for the most important information... and drill through the thread if they need more info.
I was trying to look for a list of features because I was telling a friend about the mod, and welp couldn't find a one stop location.

I can confirm this using the exact same setup (set to FCT using SCT). One message prints out in the color I set, then the color reverts to black. Edit: the color also reverts to black if I select ECHO or BlizzardFrame.
Also, Draenei get the Horde voice for quest completion. This is very minor, and probably related to Blizzard's improper flagging of Draenei (same reason they can't get the Crumpled Note for Onyxia attunement), but there you go. Sorry if it has been mentioned.
It's looking great - fantastic work!

add more localization module name.

Details when you click a quest is the big box on the left
Tooltip show questname/count when hovering over items/mobs etc.
It's brilliant.

Sykotic,
Tried that, got errors, but this works:
