Zidomo, are you still getting the error? I cannot seem to reproduce it. Maybe describe what you are doing in more detail.
Xed, I'll look into that
Avitus, the spell icons are handled by the game now. Need to bring it up with blizzard =)
Shadowgopher, pretty sure that is just a Power gain event. So just select the event type of "POWER", and put the name of the spell that gives you back mana. You'll just need to look in your combat log for the actual spell name.
Hello, I'm currently using the "Stormherald" weapon with my warrior. I would like to see (like the Mace Spec), that SCT shows me infront of the Screen when the 4sec stun of the weapon has been proced. I've havent figured out, to find the string for the proc.
Create a buff custom event, set the target to Target, set the Source to Player, and set the Search to the name of the debuff that occurs when the stun happens.
I'm new to SCT, and I'm trying to add a Windfury fades event using the Custom Events interface.
I gave it these settings
Name Windfury,
Display: Windfury Fades
Search: Windfury
Make Critical
Event Type: Aura Fades
Target: Player
Event Frame: Messages
Aura Count: 0
EDIT: oh forgot to say I have class Shaman selected as well.
Nothing happens, though if I look in my combat log I see a message about windfury fading from my weapon...
on a side note... there is a Sound field, where do we find a list of in game sounds we could use. I entered your example GnomeExploration to a event that works, and didn't hear anything. (putting a path to a sound in to the Wave Sound field works)

I'm loving this mod so far!
I want the same thing. Except i need it for Watershield. I want a sound warning when it fades. Cannot get it to work.
I found something odd, if I have the Windfury totem down, rather than a Windfury 5 weapon buff directly applied, my warning does work, and it works over and over as the totem buff expires in like 10s and reapplies. How can I help track down why it can detect the totem version on 1 weapon going away, but not the other?
So i dont know if i can do this with a Custom event but i wanted to ask any way. I want to, on the display, Show my pets damage on one side of the Mob and My damage on the other. Essentially making 2 Columns of Scroling text. See below (sorry for the crudeness)
Pet damage My Damage

SCT orientates around it's anchors, what you're talking about is the "original Blizzard SCTD". I guess this isn't possible and never will be as SCTD is designed for seeing the damage on a specific spot on the screen instead of above the mob. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Another question (bug?) though:
I tried to setup a display for the stack count of the Vial of the Sunwell trinket from tdm hc which I need to stack up to 20 times for maximum effect.
I created a custom event and set Display to *4 (which is the amount of the buff stack) and the first stack always shows up as *4 while the following are displayed correctly.
I tried to put any kind of brackets around them for no result but the brackets itself showing up...
It's not that gamebreaking and the cause is pretty obvious (the first appliance doesn't wield a stack#) and even if I read the first as 4 stacks it doesn't matter because I want 20 anyways, maybe 15+ if it's urgent while silenced. But I still wonder if there is any way to show the first stack as "1" ;)
I am using SCT/SCTD and in FAQ i have found in FAQ that it is highly recommended not to use "Standard WoW's SCTD" with this AddOn (SCTD). Why is it? I am wondering that because to be honest i like the idea i have full details about the DMG on the left and also dmg above the head of anything i hit. WoW has great property that dmg is appearing exactly above the mob's head. So if i DoT two mobs or three the dmg appears exactly above their heads. Why is SCTD continuously switching WoW DMG off ?
I'm using SCT/STCD and have the 'honor gain' option ticked. My problem is that SCT is showing all the honor I get twice. I also use ArenaFu and HonorFuPlus and disabling one of them fixes the problem. Is it possible to make SCT only show all my honor gains once with both of these addons turned on?

HonorFuPlus atleast has an option to display honorgains, disable that.
(ur getting the honor text from mutiple sources thus getting dbl posts)
HonorFu and HonorFu Plus both are incorrectly hooking SCT's honor gain methods. They both should be updated to remove that functionality, since honor gains in the combat log are 100% accurate now that honor is awarded immediately.
Its been a long time since I used SCD as I really like having my actually appear in the world frame above the mob and not in the UI frame. I have tried in the past to use the settings in SCD for doing this but it never really seems to work for me even with name plates turned on.
I wonder is this still the case or can SCD correctly place damage above a mobs head?
I'm trying to set up a custom event that triggers each time my Mind Flay ticks, but I'm having a problem in that SCT seems to only trigger on the first Mind Flay tick. I tried out the same event on Shadow Word: Pain instead and it only triggers on every second tick (every 6th second, that is).
Xed, I'll look into that

I think I saw one built in for shaman Watershield? never noticed if it worked, or tried adding a sound to it.

Do you mean the option "Print out honor gains"? Because that's already turned off and I can't see any other option about displaying honor gains.
Does it work if you turn of honor text from SCT or does that hide both?
Just checked, it hides both if I do that.
