Knowing there's a 2.4 version of Assessment in the works makes me a happy bunny. I see guildmates ask almost every day if anyone knows if there's a working Assessment out yet. Its that good. Take your time Roar, but know its not for nothing, we love Assessment. If it was a girl I'd name her Natalie and treat her like a golden godess.
Hi just installed the new Assessment - Strangely all the log ranges are set to 0 instead of 200 now - when i try to raise them up above 0 i get this message:
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks in advance :)
read the above posts it dont work with 2.4 anymore you will have to wait for a 2.4 compatible version like the rest of us. also looks like archud2 is causing the error going by what you pasted don't quote me on that.
This was just a repack of the zip cause some library was updated. You can see that on the revision number xxxxx.yy.
xxxxxx Is the svn revision the addon was comitted. yy are the repacks caused by any dependency update.
If I look at the memory also used by LibGraph I use a LOT more memory using Recount in a raid than Assessment ever used. If anyone knows if I can just... ditch that lib and still have Recount work (no desire for the graphs), or if there's somewhere I haven't found that they can be turned off, that'd be great. If not, I'll probably just go without until Assessment gets updated.
Why does someone need to "take over" Assessment? Its creator already stated that a 2.4-compatible version was in development. Not every addon author can devote 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, to developing addons. The amount of work it will take to rewrite Assessment for the 2.4 combat log is huge, so be patient.
I'll always prefer Assessment but I switched to Recount for the time being and noticed one REALLY cool feature - graphs that show my hit %, crit %, ect. I'm just curious if Assessment has a similar feature and maybe I never noticed it?
No. Graphs are Recount's big thing. If you want graphs, just use Recount. I would prefer Assessment to stick with the bar interface and not add a bunch of eye candy; I believe the API would allow someone to write a graph interface for Assessment, although if this is done I hope it isn't added to the base addon.
