One major issue with this mod currently is that it will de-select your current target after about 3seconds. Very disconcerting mid-fight when you start getting skill errors ;)

Shouldn't be doing that any more -- are you using the latest version?

So I claim, but I will need to double-check. I may have updated it after having disabled it.
It was disabling targets on Saturday (maybe the third commit?) but has been working fine since. Integration with Cartographer is a must, IMHO. Without that this has limited usefulness.
I have from work, without testing added Cartographer integration.
Caveats:
* The icon it's using is just a flight point icon, since I didn't have the path to anything more appropriate on hand. I'll fix that.
* It's currently not taking advantage of the hooks Cartographer provides to display useful saved information.
One little thing I've noticed, it doesn't apparently check to see if it's marked a particular rare before, for the ones that have fairly large patrols, I've picked up multiple marks for the same guy.
Any chance to add the full list of Rares for that zone like Raretracker did.
I plan to -- I just want to make sure I won't be doing weird things to the database format before I import a massive list like that.
Also add a sound when a Rare is sawn
That I can do.

After a change I committed last night that'll happen within a single session, but next time you log in or reload your UI it'll be back to one.
I also committed nameplate scanning for rares in the last day or so -- if you have nameplates enabled it'll read them all and see if any known rares are within nameplate range. It's not as good as the old TargetByName approach for two reasons: it's a much shorter range, and it only works if nameplates are enabled. But it's at least some form of autodetection!
(I tried making it work by toggling nameplates on and off... but I couldn't make it update the plates without also getting a brief flash of them appearing then disappearing.)
Sorry for the thread necromancy, but I think I've found a bug. Silverdragon appears to pick up rares that have been tamed by hunters as pets (at least, that's the only explanation I can think of why Bjarn showed up in the Exodar :D ).
Side note: there doesn't appear to be an easy way of deleting rares once they've been added, I had to go edit the SavedVariables file to do it... or is there a way and I missed it?
First, SilverDragon will now remember multiple locations for a rare. (To avoid massive cluttering a new location won't be remembered until it's about 5% of the map away from a previous one.)
Specialized per-locale defaults are no longer necessary.
I'm mining wowhead for rare locations, which are in the defaults.
(I still need to rewrite the tooltip to display the multiple-locations better.)

Sorry for the very bare-bones report.
I get this occasionally when opening/closing the world map.
I've had some more errors since the rewrite to support multiple locations,
but a few of them have been fixed in recent revisions.
I'll keep posting new ones, until all the kinks are worked out.
Thanks for your work.
PS. For any that would like to wait the debugging process out till it's stabilized again,

version 56628.0: I'm intermittently seeing the following error on login:

Error occured in: Global

Message: ..\AddOns\SilverDragon\Core.lua line 395:

Debug:

I am also seeing the following error on mouse-over in the minimap (haven't checked the full map yet, but perhaps it would happen there as well). Again, this is intermittent, I haven't been able to reproduce it consistently:

For obvious reasons (those things are rare, yo) I haven't been able to test it all that thoroughly, so please comment with any problems you see.
On my todo list is adding some sort of Cartographer integration.
http://svn.wowace.com/wowace/trunk/SilverDragon/
Now it's done, i'll try it tomorrow (fr client) and give feedback.
I'm glad to see you think of making it a Cartographer module, as it is my first suggestion ^^
Shouldn't be doing that any more -- are you using the latest version?
That would be great. ^^
As soon as you accomplished this, I'll definitely gonna give this a try.

NO mean want the cords but the list would be nice

There's a menu option, or you can type /silverdragon defaults.
(The defaults are just from an import of my old raretracker DB. So it's not necessarily complete, or anything.)
(well not too preliminary.. it's more or less complete :))
Overwrite Defaults.lua in Addon folder with my attachment
(previous database is intact, only TBC additions have been made)
Then use the menu option or do /silverdragon defaults to import them,
as detailed by Kemayo.
Side note: there doesn't appear to be an easy way of deleting rares once they've been added, I had to go edit the SavedVariables file to do it... or is there a way and I missed it?
I got a strange error, seems to appear when i mousover a SiverDragon icon on minimap ...
