I have found out how to remove the hp bar at the bottom: after reinstalling and deleting the config file from WTF folder it has disapeared, but it reapears when I disable text lines.
Ok, so I'm starting to dig into CowTip some more, but there are pesky things that I've found, and can't seem to work around them. Looking for help.
First off, is there any way to NOT show a blank line when the tooltip's target doesn't have a particular item? For example, the top line for me is [AggroColor][PvPRank] which returns their title, colored based on hostility (which works and is what I want). But when the target doesn't have a title set, there is just a blank line, then the rest of the info.
My second thing, is similar to the first. In the default setup there is some plain text (Target:) and then the tags for showing the unit's target. But in this case also, if the unit has no target, I would like to hide this line completely, rather than have the tooltip show Target: None.
For both of these, similar to how if the unit has no guild, its as though that line wasn't there at all. (At least, with the default setup. I can tell no specific tag/code used in that situation.)
Grateful for any help/points in the proper direction.
The fix there is actually ag unit frames but I'm guess you can apply it to Cow Tip quite easily. I'm not sure If I should post a modified one with out emo kitteh *i mean* Ck knight's permission
PS Ignore the emo kitteh thing . I just see ck knight's signature and that is what I associate with him ;)
Is there some magic to the Show Tooltips options? They don't seem to work at all for me. I set them all to Never and I still get tooltips.
Just started trying CowTip and am running into a similar issue. r49737, integrated Rock libraries.
In CowTip-->Show Tooltips in Rock's options, "Never" and "Always" work fine (for non-unit frames, unit frames, world objects & world units). But "Out of Combat" does not work at all. Its a major issue here.
For instance, change the option of Non-unit frames to "Out of Combat", go into combat and you will still get tooltips mousing over the default Blizzard spellbar. Set it to "Never", the tooltips never appear; set it to "Always" they always appear. Same deal with the other frames/objects. "Only show with modifier" is set to "No modifier" (as preferred).
Would love to know if this is being looked at. Its been an issue for some time. I reported it in the forums some time back. I reported it on the previous reporting system. Ive reported it on the Jira system. And beyond someone else saying they had the same issue... no response.
It was an issue prior to conversion to Rock... and still is after conversion.
Tooltips show up while in combat, when set for only OOC.
Options are set to only show tooltips when out of combat. They still show up in combat.
I have unselected and reslected the option for all the options available.
Show Tooltips > non unit frames unit frames world objects and world units... but they all still show up in combat.
I have tried to delete my SV to see if there was something corrupt within... issue still occurs.
This was originaly reported on TRAC: http://trac.wowace.com/ticket/1566 but figured you wanted open issues on the new system.
Does CowTip support Mobinfo2 as far as displaying all the information available with that mod? My understanding of MI2 is that it includes Mobhealth and then some extra Mob Info on top of that. Having Mobinfo2 and Mobhealth installed at the same time is unnecessary and in some cases may cause issues. My tooltip "broke" last night after the patch (I was using TipBuddy) and every time I moused over an ag_uf it would give me lua errors. I know that has been fixed but it has prompted me to look into other tooltip mods and it got me to wondering if CowTip supports MI2 data.
This is what is displayed when using the MI2 data and as far as I can tell, there are no DogTags to support MI2 data. I don't know if this would be implemented on the CowTip level or the DogTag level.
Picture shows "normal" mode on left and "compact" mode on right.
I would try TinyTip but it seems that it has lost support. The possibilities / customization of CT2 seem much more powerful so if I can get it to work I might prefer it. :)
I'm using CowTip and MobInfo2... no problems there.
Unfortunately MobInfo2 just doesn't want to adopt Cowtip's font so I just show MI2 with shift pressed ^^
avatarr : have the same problem here, when i press ALT to see mi2 informations of an object in my bag, the informations appear and directly disapear :'( . Bu it seems that it's not a bug of Cowtip or Mi2, for me the problem comes from the last version of Baggins !
I'm getting this kind of annoying bug. When I hover over my spells on my actionbar, it flickers between the cursur (where I want it to be) and where the default tooltip would be (bottom right hand corner). If I turn off enhanced tooltips in the WoW interface options, it stops happening. Any ideas?
I was fighting with ct2 profiles last night, I don't think it was apatch issue because it happened with an alt previously.
I made a new char and was setting up my ui, changing all profiles from default to my current ui (good one) and the ct2 ones did not stick, in fact every time I change profiles the profile I change to would be written over by the default. finally I had to add my new char into a backup of my cav var manually. anyone run into this ever?
I noticed last night that font settings do not apply to item tooltips (at least not ones created from clicking on item links in chat). Unit tooltips seem to be fine, but not item tooltips; I guess CowTip doesn't control those?
update: actually I think the issue only occurs when you *click* on an item link and look at TekKompare's compare tooltip that shows what you currently have equipped.

I'm expiriencing the same thing, from what i found out, this occurs when using bongos2 and cowtip together and only if you position the tooltip at your cursor. With normal blizzard bars cowtip works fine and bongos alone too, but it seems that together they both want to place the tooltip and it flickers.

Does tekKompare work with Cowtip now? It used to give me completely destroyed borders, so I went to EQCompare. Would love to go back to tekkompare if the problem is gone...

Second one is a bit different.
Change (Target:) text to:
