has anyone found a list of things for the new cowtip?
and is anyone else annoyed that we seem to go thru this with eveyr major patch? add in some backwards-compatibility, at least for the dog-tags please!
i cant even figure out hwo to add in a space between level & class anymore. i put a space in the edit line and hit enter, and it removes the space. rofl
Also, for the love of god can we get a compact tooltip option or some premade templates in there since the default tooltip is just ungainly at the least and plain in the way at the worst
The new version of Cowtip for 2.4 uses LibDogTag-3.0, not the LibDogTag-3.0 that it's been using in prior releases.
MANY TAGS HAVE CHANGED. I'm still trying to figure out some of the new tags, and I can't find a list.
Um... the 2 libraries you mention have the exact same name. Cowtip just flat out doesn't work for me since 2.4 this morning, and I'm running the version of it posted today.

Do I need to download anything else now?
CowTip works for me, but I needed to delete my WTF files to the lines would go back to default.

Oops, typo there. I meant LibDogTag-2.0 was the old one. LibDogTag-3.0 is what's in the new version. :->
Dunno about that... I'm just another user here. Growing mildly frustrated by LDT-3.0, myself. :-)
everything I highlight, whether it be friendly or nemy, player or NPC, comes out like that. the only thing that changes is the background color, which is still colored right according to enemy or friend

Wait until ck adds some help with the new LibDogTag's syntax...

Seconded. I'd not above personalising preferences, but to a more compact default would help as a starting point.
I want to get my PvPRank to do double duty on either side of the name, as I had before, without showing the ", Champion of the Naaru" or ", Hand of A'dal", or the other unique titles. But I haven't figured that one out yet.
Remember, it doesn't hurt to do your own tinkering, and toying with the examples CK's given. That's how I figured out the Faction part of my tool tip.
Name (class colored) (hostile colored if npc) Realm if available
Guild name (with diff color for own guild)
Level (difficulty colored) Race/Classification Class
Target
Status
Talent spec
sounds simple right? :) i had a nice one before patch.
also wanna fix my pitbull frames so it just shows name on the top left and class/level on the top right.

sorry, couldn't help it...
For instance :
left right
Target: tags for target
Everything is fine but if you use
left right
tags for target
then the heigth of the line seems to be equal 0.
See screen below. Same config but with and without a "_" as text for left.
what should i do?

i think the old one was TalentTree. Any word on new tag?
[if TalentSpec then TalentTree " " TalentSpec:Paren]
what i want is a layout like this"
Name (class colored) (hostile colored if npc) Realm if available
Guild name (with diff color for own guild)
Level (difficulty colored) Race/Classification Class
Target
Status
Talent spec
