All bosses are "elite". But bosses are bigger than elites.
Obviously. But I still like having "+" next to a boss's level. Call me anal. :D It seems [Plus] now only works on bosses and NPCs that are of neutral faction, but not for friendly NPCs or hostile mobs (like Battlemasters), in which case I have to use [ShortClassification] now. However, if I use [ShortClassification] along with [Plus], I get a "++" on Battlemasters and the like. Is this now intentional functionality or is it broken? [Plus] used to work on any elite (or boss) without the need for [ShortClassification].
Any chance to use the built-in talent viewer if the other players doesnt have the rock-stuff installed?
Of course you need to be in the inspect range but it is better than nothing.
The Talent Query API has been updated to allow inspection.
GetNumTalentTabs ([inpect]) -- Added an optional "inspect" argument. The function returns information for the currently inspected unit if "inspect" evaluates to true.
GetTalentTabInfo (tab[, inspect]) -- Added an optional "inspect" argument.
GetNumTalents (tab[, inspect]) -- Added an optional "inspect" argument.
GetTalentInfo (tab, index[, inspect]) -- Added an optional "inspect" argument.
GetTalentPrereqs (tab, index[, inspect]) -- Added an optional "inspect" argument.
Event INSPECT_TALENT_READY -- Sent when the talent of the inspected units are available/updated.
Been futzing around with the DogTag variables in my CowTip tooltips, and like the way I have it set up so far. Only one thing I can't figure out how to do - is there a way DogTags to display in the tooltip whether a unit is Hostile, Neutral, or Friendly using the words? (I mean, displaying 'Hostile' if it's hostile, etc.).
I know you can color other text using the 'HostileColor' modifier, but I don't know how to get it to actually display the words "Hostile/Neutral/Friendly", or even if you can.
CowTip by its default settings displays way too much information, so I just switched the edit lines off. Having the tooltip follow mouse cursor is enough for me.
Unfortunately when I do disable edit lines, CoWTip displays two health bars. The health bar that is dislayed on bottom, can't be disabled from any settings I've tried. If either power/mana or the other health bar is enabled and on bottom, they overlap each other.
I really want to get rid of the other health bar that seems to be a remnant from default WoW tooltip. How do I do it?
Thanks for the tip (LitheTooltipDoctor), seems like it hasn't been updated in a while though, just like TinyTip I like very much.
I wish in the future more work would be put into default CowTip layout(s), currently it simply displays too much by default, hard to quickly pick up wanted details in middle of action. While it is true that CowTip is very customizable, there are us that "just want it to work" without unnecessary hassle.
Bundling, say three different default layouts would be great community service; minimal, normal and informative.
Hopefully the health bar bug will get sorted out in the near future. I kinda liked to have CowTip's own health and power/mana bars, but that extra health bar is just too annoying.
There are different addons for different purposes. If you just want to move the tooltip, then just get an addon that does that. If you want to replace the tooltip and have it look differently, then use TinyTip or any other mod like that. If you want *uber* customization over your tooltips (meaning that you intend to uberly customize them) then use CowTip. Not every mod fits every person's needs. And if you're intent on using CowTip, the original Cowtip thread (from CowTip 1.0) had posts in it on what to put in your line texts to make it look like TinyTip, TipBuddy, etc.
Anyone else noticing recently that Gatherer and Cartographer_Mining (don't know about other gathering professions since I only have miners) only intermittently create notes for mineral nodes if Cowtip is enabled? Disable Cowtip and new gathered notes are created as soon as you tap the node. Very frustrating. :(
