Yes, I'm just pondering how I should implement the code. Right now its quite CPU intensive, so I wanna reduce that :)
I understand :) This isn't a deal-breaker at all, was just curious. Also, not sure this has been reported but the position of my bags isn't saved between sessions.
I'm confused by this tooltip alt thing. In what context do people use it?
I currently use possesion and if i want runecloth I type /poss runecloth and it shows on what char/location the runecloth is.
From the description of the tooltip alt thing, you can only see what alts have runecloth if you have runecloth in your bags.
Am i missing something?
Well, I don't know about possession but Sanity will allow you search for stuff in the Sanity window but will also display in the tooltips which alt (and where on the alts) the stuff is located when hovering over an item. It can be in your bag, it can be linked in chat (including trade), it can be in AH, it can be in the tradeskill windows. This is very useful for reagents in particular. I believe however that there is a separate mod that Possession users use to the same effect. Something called Whohadit or someshuch.
For Tuller: any way to also see the mailboxed and where the characters are wearing? This is something that both Sanity and Possession do and that has always stoped me from going anywhere else. Being able to search accross all the toon equipements in all location it can be is very useful. The mailbox has become, for me, a second bank :-). Just a tough.

You are correct, however it also works if you hover over the ingredient in the trade skill window (I use Skillet at the moment). Using this method I didn't need to search anything to find out which alt had it and where it was (bank or bag). As you mention there are other methods to find this information which is why it's not a huge loss if it doesn't make it back into the new version.

Don't know if it helps but I'm using Sanity2 and sanity item cache (can't remember if the cache is need as it may have been leftover from previous) for showing items on alts which includes their bags, banks and mail.

I use this combination too, and I like that Combuctor doesn't shows the owner tooltip.
I'm getting this error with Recipe book 2.2.1 and the latest combuctor from the svn.

Hurray! New version!
I liked alpha1 alot, but it had some problems. Most of them seem resolved now (Combuctor closing auction frame for instance :d).
Motes and primals still doesnt show up in any of the rightside tabs though. Combuctor seems to take up too much space when having the auction frame up. With an alt-leftclick i can move it down to the right, and they wont interfere with each other too much. Someone a few pages back mentioned having 9 rows instead of 10, and this in combination of maybe having the rightside tabs on the left and then hideable, could be enough to squeeze both windows in at the same time. I suppose this depends on UI scale (im having 0.61 if i remember correctly).
Maybe the auctionwindow will change somewhat in 2.3, i know there are some changes being made at least.
I noticed that alt-rightclicking resets Combuctor to the left side, which has the consequence of not being able to open up the auction unless you left-click and drag it a small bit to the right (Combuctor was default to the right when i installed new version).
The bigger bankwindow is great. So is maximum size of items. I didnt mind having one item become giant, but i suppose this helps the eye a bit.
I would like an option to toggle non-soulbound items, making it easier to sell to vendor and AH + disenchanting greens without worrying about destroying my gear.
Other than those minor issues, this addon is the essence of perfection =) The UI is very easy to use, and its very easy to find stuff.
I welcome any customized buttons on the right, but i feel that even with a full bank with 16-18 slots, the existing filters is enough for me at least.
If it makes you feel better, motes are listed in trade goods in 2.3 :)
The tabs will never cover 100% of all items; that's why the text search is there. The side tabs are merely meant to be used for what you'd commonly look for.
One thing I'm thinking about: what are people actually using the quality filter for?
1) The cooldown text stays in the slot when changing to a different characters inventory. So, say I use my hearthstone on my current character. If I then go to look at a different character's inventory, the 60m cooldown text shows in the same slot, on whatever item is in that slot in the other char's inventory. I think this type of issue was mentioned already, but just in case. . :).
2) When viewing another character's inventory, if you click on an empty slot and drag, you pick up the item that is in that slot in the current character's inventory, and you can move it around. Only happens on the empty slots.

I use it to find trash items fast or to find "that trinket i dont remember what it looked like, but i know it was green/blue". This feature is awesome, and is a big part on what helps me find things fast.
About things not being in categories:
With vBagnon i could make a filter that included everything but the standard categories. It would be something like
Show: All
Hide: Weapon, Armor, Tradegoods, Questitems .. etc
With such a button/filter on the right, it would be easy to find those items slipping through the standard categories :)
Edit: I wrote in an above post about non-souldbound items, maybe this could be in one of the tabs below? Normal/Keys/nonsoulbound? that way i could still use the quality and category filters.. :)

Yeas, indeed. VERY handy for a feature that I didn't think I would ever need. Please don't remove this. :)
Ok i just got around to installing this have to say love it already but something i would like to see
1 GUI something like in Skillet i dont want to have to use skiner to change how it looks
2 ability to check bank anywhere
3 ability to check alts and there banks too
somethings might be included now just starting to read over the tread
The only thing I miss is a button on the bag frame to show the bank instead.
And a tab to show everything in your inventory.
And the problem recipe book had before with combuctor (and bagnon) is fixed now.
And I don't miss the owner tooltip that bagnon has.
I know that I repeat myself. ^^
Hi BlackZam as I postet recently there is a little Bug in frame.lua. there is an All-tab but for all other languages (not english) you must edit frame.lua
the new Method for the German Client works but one little Bug is in frame.lua at line 186-188.
it must be this:
if type ~= ALL then
button.type = (type ~= ALL and type) or nil
end
NOT this:
if type ~= 'All' then
button.type = (type ~= 'All' and type) or nil
end

Are there any plans on adding the tooltip alt-inventory counts back in (or are they there and another mod is killing them)?

Couple of issues with this latest version.
1) The cooldown text stays in the slot when changing to a different characters inventory. So, say I use my hearthstone on my current character. Thanks again for an awesome addon :).
